Effective Communication Skills I. Rationale
In today’s competitive business world and difficult economy, coherent, effective communication is more essential than ever before. It is the foundation on which companies and careers are built and a crucial component of lasting success. Whether you are communicating with bosses, coworkers, customers, vendors, or peers, using effective communication is essential to job achievement. Whether it’s a face-to-face conversation or a professionally written e-mail exchange, a meaningful message entails establishing a connection that leaves a powerful impression.
The Effective Communications Skills Seminars below will help you develop a truly engaging and responsive communication style, leading to positive results for you and your organization. These communication courses help individuals communicate and influence the perceptions of others in virtually all business and personal interactions. Some people may need to improve their written communication for more clear and concise business emails, letters, and reports. Others may need to develop their presentation skills to give better presentations to bosses, teams or large groups. Others may need training to improve their technical writing or technical presentation skills.

II. Objectives This seminar is provided to:

2. Comprise various communication skills workshops which help people to understand the practical importance and implications of effective communication.
3. Helps those who possess good communication skills to explore new dimensions.
4. Considered as an important source of knowledge by most organizations
5. Make all efforts to ensure that each person attending the seminar must learn something new which helps that person to grow and succeed.
6. Help people to recognize their interpersonal capabilities.
7. This helps an organization to attend the maximum communication stability among employees. Thus, it brings forth growth and success.

IV. Learning Methodology The methodologies to be employed in this seminar will be lecture-discussion, slide/audio video presentation, demonstration, simulation, open forum and written examination.
V. Participants Each division of department of Bureau of Construction, Bureau of Design and Administration and Manpower Management Services (HRPD&HRMTD) shall send 2 of their officers including supervisor, manager and executive to attend this seminar.
VI. Time Frame The allotted time in conduction of this program was 3 days for completion.
VII. Dates and Venue The Seminar-Workshop on Effective Communication Skills shall be conducted on October 2012, at the AMMS Training Room, DPWH Building from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

VII. Evaluation Method A Pre-Training Survey and Post-Training Evaluation shall be administered to the participants at the start and at the end of the seminar-workshop to access if the training has achieved all its objectives.
VIII. Resource Speaker It will be identified by the Department of Public Works and Highways.
XI. Training cost 1. Food Purchases
A. List cost per person for each meal
- Breakfast 100.00 per pax
- Lunch 150.00 per pax
- Snacks150.00 per pax B. List meal (breakfast, lunch, dinner) - Breakfast PHP 10,000
- Lunch PHP 15,000
- Snacks PHP 7,500

2. Meeting Room Rental PHP 25,000.00 3. Audio-Visual Equipment Rental PHP 20,000.00 4. Honorarium Speaker (24 hours x 700) PHP 16, 800.00

XII. Recognition Certificate of Training shall be awarded to participants who fulfill the requirements of t5he seminar-workshop.
