Advanteges of Hybrid Cars
The advantages of hybrid cars Hybrid car is mainly focusing on green energy that obviously can offer a lot of advantages for us. The advantages of hybrid car itself begin right from its distinction in the model compared to other models. Two energy sources are used for the hybrid car movement as it has two engines that are working under one hood. They are the electric motor and the gasoline engine. These two engines can help in saving the usage of gas as it can save as much as 30 miles a gallon. This is because, when the car is running at a constant speed or the engine is running with zero speed, the gasoline engine will automatically shuts off and the electricity motor is on. This helps a lot for the fuel consumption especially when you are stuck in traffic and your engine is running. Lots of pollutions can caused during the traffic jams. However, the hybrid car is the type of car that is environmental friendly as the car has less emission of toxic and less gasoline burned. This is because when the hybrid car needs to accelerate, the gasoline engine pumps only the required gas and then the car will be in the command of the electric engine all over again. Hence, less pollution will be made.
Hybrid car can helps in lowering the carbon dioxide level that will be released to the atmosphere. Not only to mention that it can lessen the air pollution but also for the noise pollution. By driving hybrid car, we will not only do our mother nature a favour but also do ourselves a favour by decreasing the risk of cancer and lung diseases and on the other hand, we will conserve the flora and fauna for our future generation.
Furthermore, when you drive a hybrid car you will be paying less tax. When you purchased an eco-friendly car, you may be eligible to get more tax relief when you file your taxes at the end of the year. Many hybrid car owners enjoy the tax abolishment. In other words, hybrid car can help you save lots of money on taxes.

    * One of the unique features of a hybrid is that when you first put your foot on the gas pedal to get started from a stopped position, the electric motor is the first thing to engage. The advantage to this is that this is also the point in standard engines where they pollute the most. Also, a hybrid Camry engine shuts off when stopped so no fuel is burning and producing green-house gases. Because of these features, emissions from a hybrid can decrease by as much as 90 percent.…

With the evolution of hybrid vehicles some consumers have made a commitment to affect the environment in a very positive way. A hybrid car is a vehicle that combines two or more sources of power that can directly or indirectly provide propulsion power. Cities like Seattle have public busses that run on diesel but are also electric and powered by wires throughout the city. Once away from these wires, the diesel engine starts to function as a second contributor to the movement of the bus, but the electric engine is mainly functioning throughout the lifespan of these public busses. This system produces a minimum amount of negative carbon released into the atmosphere. Although cities have adopted this requisite, people are starting to adjust to it as well. Not only does owning a hybrid vehicle benefit the future, but also getting extraordinary mileage to the gallon is economical.…

There are several advantages to using alternative fuels or hybrid vehicles in a rental fleet. Some of these are company image, reduced spill hazard, and economic benefits. When considering the air quality an alternative fueled vehicle has lower emission levels than the traditional gasoline engine. Generally speaking, when a vehicle is first started the emissions released are at their highest for a gasoline engine. A vehicle that runs on natural gas creates a very low release of carbon while a hydrogen powered vehicle only produces water as a byproduct.…

While everyone acknowledges that it is a very efficient car, the question is whether or not it is worth it, due to the vary environmentally damaging processes that must undergo to produce it [4]. One of the main points in this debate is that the batteries, the things that make a hybrid efficient, are extremely polluting and dangerous, and the mining methods used to acquire the lead and other materials is a very environmentally degrading process [4]. With two distinct sides there is now a heated debate between petrol-heads and…

Gasoline powered vehicles are better! No, hybrids are better! Have you heard these two points-of-view? This last election, the question of energy was a part of both party’s platforms. They talked about wind and solar versus coal and oil, and gasoline versus hybrid vehicles. So here we are, the election is over, but the battle between a gasoline powered vehicles versus a hybrid continues. You might know someone who owns a hybrid car. My uncle bought one in 2006 and for him it works great, but he usually just travels back and forth to work. However, my uncle’s needs are not the same as my dad who is a contractor. In the end, you need to weigh the pros and cons before deciding on which vehicle is best for you. After much research, it is my opinion that a gasoline powered car is better than a hybrid for these reasons: purchase and repair costs, towing and passenger/cargo capacity, and the cars impact on the environment.…

These hybrid car pose many environmental impacts such as smog producing gases. Hybrid cars can produce fewer gas emissions then conventional cars, but not less than we think. The issues with plug-in hybrid cars is that the electricity they use comes from our existing power grid. The most of our electricity comes from coal and a little from nuclear power, which is in fact nasty to our environment. A hybrid vehicle can be as much as 20 percent more expensive than conventional cars. To determine the actual fuel savings over a typical year of driving, compare the operating cost of a hybrid versus a standard model. A U.S. Department of Transportation summary, dated February 2003, reports the average American driver between the ages of 34 and 55 drives 15,291 miles annually (see References 4). Divide this annual mileage figure by 21 miles to the gallon for the standard model, and you will find that you would buy about 728 gallons of gasoline a year. In contrast, if you divide the annual miles figure by 30 for the hybrid, you would determine that the annual gas purchase…

Hybrid cars are controversial today because the hybrid cars still burn gasoline and emit greenhouse gases and they still have to use gasoline to power the battery. The hybrid only adds efficiency to the gasoline engine, instead of replacing it entirely. The hybrid car remains as a major emitter of pollution. While it may contribute less to global warming, it still contributes significantly. If people keep switching to hybrids over time yes the contribution towards global warming will less eminent, but it will still continue to pollute the…

While there are many different kinds of hybrid cars, they all share one common trait: a traditional, gasoline-powered motor and a new electric, battery-powered motor are both found within the vehicles. These vehicles use both motors at different times when on the go: the electric motor powers the vehicle when going less than 40 miles per hour, while the gas motor powers the vehicle at speeds greater than 40 miles per hour. While the functions of both motors may seem unimportant to some, consider stop-and-go rush hour traffic. Not only does the electric motor reduce smog levels due to its exhaust-free trait, but it also helps to save gasoline that is wasted when frequently pressing the accelerator. Another plausible scenario to consider is living in a small town where the speed limit rarely exceeds 40 miles per hour; traveling through these towns on electric energy can save gallons of gas, giving our wallets time to become more plump between each visit to the pump. The efficiency of…

There are several pros about the cost of a hybrid compared to a regular vehicle. The first one I am going to talk about is the fact that you can take part of the Federal Tax Incentives for Hybrid Owners. This is a federal tax credit of up to $3,400! As long as you purchased your new qualifying hybrid after December 31st 2005 and before December 31st 2010 then you could be eligible for this credit. The amounts of credit for each manufacturer being to phase out once that manufacturer sells over 60,000 vehicles. There are a few other stipulations as well, like your new hybrid has to be used mainly in the United States. You will have to make sure to fill out a form 8910 when you fill your taxes to ensure that you do get the credit.…
