The Moscow Ballet's Great Russian Nutcracker
On November 12, at 3:00 pm, I went to see 25th Anniversary of The Moscow Ballet’s Great Russian Nutcracker. All I can say is wow! This show far exceeded all of my expectations! The set was beautiful; I liked how the background looked as though it was a brightly painted Christmas scene, as opposed to actual props. By keeping the background more blank, the audience was able to focus more clearly on the ballet dancers. The dancers were phenomenal; no one was out of time with the music or each other. The costumes of the Russian and Arabic style dancers were so detailed, I could see some of the beading from my seat. My favorite scene was the Waltz of the Flowers.
