Fballet 422: New York City Ballet
In fBallet 422 the film follows a choreographer by the name of Justin Peck. He been with the New York City ballet since 2007. He became the only current dancer to choregraph for New York City Ballet. He was commissioned to create the only ballet in the 2013 winter season. He chose three of the company’s elite principal dancers and it has ballet to a musical composition form 1935. I learned man things about the dance ballet for example they alone more men in ballet the I expected and they wear make-up also. They are many structured techniques that go in the dance of ballet. They are also different ways that performers get ready to perform some stretched or some even jump rope. They were many threats that the dancers did too keep the blood flowing. Ballet also takes a lot of coordination and balance. All through the movie there were many times balance was needed. Ballet is a structured dance. They were many beautiful things about ballet. From gracefulness, down to the technique. The dancer move so gracefully and when they dance with a partner they both move so fluidly with each other. Also, I could tell that ballet was set to music because in the movie the dance movies fit perfectly with the music. Even though its many beautiful things they are ugly aspects of it. For example, dancers must stuff their shoes because they stand on their toes so much and the dancers must be able to trust their partner. In the movie, the guys were throwing the girl in the air to the other guy during one of the movements. In another movement, the guy had to do a trust fall in to the girls. This right here takes major trust. I feel like the ugliest thing about ballet is the long hours they must take to prepare the show. It looks draining and stressful but how it all comes out in the end makes everything so much better. It is so many tthings that must happen for a ballet to be presented. The first thing is costumes. Dancers wear uncomfortable things all the time but they don’t mind
