I have to develop my communication skills and also stop being so shy.
Communication skills are very important to personal or professional life. Manuscriptedit (Dec.2011) says, “Communicating the intended message clearly and effectively is an important skill, which is often a key factor in deciding the chances of success.” I feel I need to improve that skill, maybe because I’m a leaner of the English language - which isn’t my mother one - and I feel like my vocabulary needs to be improved. College is being a great help though but even before I was organising my time and taking a few hours during the week to read a book, newspapers or magazine.
Another problem is being shy which I’ve being working to get over it since early age. I never liked to be noticed, I used to be very quiet, not many friends, talk in public used to be my biggest fear. Today I’m much better however, it is still something I have to improve but I’m happy because so far I think I’ve done a great job. I’m always trying to expose my ideas in class, trying to control my nervous and not let the shyness to take the best of …show more content…
Our time is short and we need to efficient in what we do. Taking the essential right now and give your best to it will make the difference in the future.
Task 2.4: Devise a personal and professional plan based on identified needs
Sometimes it can be very difficult to separate personal and professional life, even more when you are talking about knowledge. All the information gained will be useful in both aspects of your life. Devising a plan looking to the future can be very challenging but if you know what are your weaknesses then the job is half way through.
College for me was a plan I made years ago that now became real and I’m living the experience. It will develop my personal and professional life as well as existing skills. Another plan I have made is to start a course where I can develop my computer skills. The plan is to finish college and the computer course together to then be launched in the business market successfully.
I need to be aware of external factors as well to make sure that my plans will happen. Work flexibility, financial life will also influence on any type of decision I make and very important, I will have to keep myself motivated to go further and achieve my
