SANITARY PLUMBING
Sanitary plumbing is any work involved in fixing or unfixing any pipe, plumbing fixture or appliance including; any trap, waste or soil pipe, ventilation pipe, or overflow pipe and any pipe that supplies or is intended to supply water.
All sanitary plumbing must comply with the Building Code and, where a building consent is required; the work must be checked by the building inspector from the building control authority in your area (your local council). A code compliance certificate cannot be issued until the work has been signed off by the building inspector.
Sanitary plumbing does not include the installation of appliances such as dishwashers and washing machines; the replacement or repair of taps, ball valves and plugs.

1. Size of manhole = 600mm x 450mm x 610mm
(a) Trapped floor gully to the manhole
(b) Toilet to manhole

2. Size pipe
(a) Main sewer pipe line by others = 225mm Ø VCP pipe
(b) Connection to main sewer pipe line = 150mm Ø VCP pipe
(c) Sink to floor trap = 50mm Ø UPVC pipe
(d) Floor trap to trapped floor gully = 80mm Ø UPVC pipe
(e) Trap floor gully to inspection chamber = 100mm Ø UPVC pipe
(f) Toilet to main sewer line = 100mm Ø UPVC pipe

3. Type and direction follow the engineering details

4. The Installation pipe works and fittings shall comply with the latest sewerage and drainage by law to local authority.

5. All pipes running within habitable areas are to be ducted and access doors provided.

6. All UPVC pipes used are to conform to the following BS:
(i) BS 4514 for all soil pipes and fittings.
(ii) BS 5255 for all waste pipes and fittings.
(iii) BS 4660 for all buried / underground pipes.

7. All UPVC pipes are to be provided with brackets and expansion joints as per manufacturer’s recommendation.

8. All UPVC pipes to be used are of interco of paling brand.

9. All underground pipes run shall be flow gradient 1:40 unless otherwise stated.

10. All soil and waste for upper level floor to the vertical soil and waste
