Synopsis
The objectives of this experiment are to determine the tensile strengths and tensile modulus of different materials by using the modern tensile testing machine. General Purpose Polystyrene(GPPS), High Impact Polystyrene(HIPS), High Density Polyethylene(HDPE) and Polypropylene(PP) were the materials used as samples for this experiment. 3 specimens of each plastic were loaded into the machine and the average reading out of the 3 was recorded for more accuracy.
