my first day of skool
The First Day of School
"Finally, the great day dawned" I had thought as I leaped out of bed excitedly. It was the first day of school and for the first time in my life I had woken up before Mom woke me. I sat on a broken swivel chair twisted around and wondered how my first day of school would be. After a while of which the length I do not know while I was imaging horror and wonder, Mom entered my small room which was nevertheless cozy. I do not also know how long she was there without me noticing but finally I left the land of dreams and awakened to see Mom sitting on the bed opposite me. I ate a scrumptious breakfast and then left to school through a bright and cheerful path which was about a five minute walk from my Home.
After I got there a teacher named Mr. Riyad met me and introduced me to his other students. After roughly ten minutes I felt like I had been going to school for years. We all sat down at our gloss white desks when I got a real look at my new classroom. It was very large with five windows and a lot of space to play. It was also painted yellow and all its furniture was white. Soon Mr. Riyad gave out some new stationary everyone was eager to have. He then announced that we could play for fifteen minutes.
Then Mr. Riyad asked us to sit down and asked us to do some tests to see if how high we were. He gave an English paper and said that the next day they would be getting a Mathematics one. I found it easy as my Mom had taught me all she could to do this test and also as it was made very easy. I finished second as I could read and most of the others could not.
Then I discovered that it was time to go. Mom had not arrived yet so I had a play fight with a boy called Martin. He won the first match; I won the second but felt sorry for him as he was smaller than I was. Mom arrived. I was sorry to leave but I did not forget to thank the teacher.
When going back I told Mom confidentially that I was sad that there was no school on the Weekend as

Crisp, golden light creeped out from behind my curtains into my bedroom on a cool Fall morning, rising me up from my sleep. Once I had gotten myself dressed, I shuffled downstairs to my kitchen and poured myself some life cereal and milk. As soon as I had finished the rest of my daily routine that got me ready for school, my mom drove me and my sister off to Finley Farms, which was the school we attended. The school day went by as usual and slinked away, but after a few subjects my class, along with the other 5th graders, were led by our teachers downstairs to a room where we were greeted by a woman who told us she was Mrs.Sopeland. The fifth graders all sat down in a semi-circle formation and waited for the rest of the 5th grade classes.…

Tears soon flooded my eyes until I could no longer hold them back. I cried. In fact, I did not stop crying, I couldn't. Eventually, my sister would emerge through the doorway; she had been sent over from her classroom across the hall to comfort me. This was the morning routine of my short lived preschool career; my parents and teachers decided I wasn't ready yet for school, so they pulled me out for the rest of the year. From a young age I wasn't the biggest fan of school, even preschool wasn't appealing to me and that's saying something. When looking at how my preschool career ended quickly never would…

It was two in the morning. I got out of bed, running on three hours of sleep. I ran downstairs after getting ready for a long bus ride. I saw my mom and grandpa waiting downstairs, as my grandpa was going on the trip with me. When at the school, teachers checked our bags, kind of like the airport. After this check, we were off (well, about an hour later). Now it was off on our new home for the next 12 hours. For the first three hours, everyone slept. It was boring and I will skip that. We then pulled over for our breakfast stop. When we stopped, the teachers passed out our boxes of bagels. We proceeded to get back on the road next, which was a rather long time. About four hours of driving through Ohio farms and Pennsylvania hills,…

It had been a crazy morning as I ran all over my house trying to find my jacket and boots. My mom had been admitted into the hospital that morning for a massive headache and all I could think about was whether or not she would be okay. I took her to the emergency room that day before so going to class was the last thing on my mind. My father and sister had agreed to stay with her till I ended class so I was more at ease knowing she wouldn’t be alone. After running all over my house looking for my things I quickly gathered myself to make my train. I finally got to Penn Station with four minutes to spare. I quickly walked to where the rest of my class was as we waited for instructions to where we would…

Have you ever experience a moment where you have no idea where you are, and what you would have done in that particular moment? Well I have, and here is my story. It all started in late August of 2009, when millions of children across the country were looking forward to their first day of school. For me, I was not looking forward to start my first year of High School. I still had the middle school mentality. I was concerned that I was not ready for high school. I felt lost, confused, and anxious to this change.…

Waking up to an average morning walking outside in the crisp morning air to get breakfast for myself. After I ate I headed for school to finish those standardized tests at the end of 6th grade. So far my class did well and was eager to get them over with. While I was in my zone working on the test, I could hear the clock ticking away every precious second passing. I had to get done with my English test before recess. Finally I looked at the clock and the time read 1:53 pm, just with a few minutes to spare, I finally had finished my test. I was glad that one was over with, as I raced home to grab a quick snack before I had to return to school.…

Well it was a chilly early morning with bright blue skies in early September. The birds were out and singing with a smooth and majestic melody. I was only four or five and about 3’5 with a fresh new haircut. I remember I was a nervous wreck with a sad look on my face for the simple fact that it was my first day in a room filled with strangers. As the minutes would pass by waiting in the humid office with my parents on some paper work that needed to be done I would constantly have that thought in the back of my head on how thing would be in that new room that I was destine to go. Then came that dreadful sentence that I didn’t want to hear, “Well everything here is done. Carlos is now able to go to his new room.” Walking down the hallway to the room it seems like the hallway would expand and we were walking forever. To my surprise I turn my head in a sad manner to be surprised that we have not moved that far from the office.…

From Holly Springs to Apex we moved in a rush and as soon as possible. I kept to myself mostly not wanting anything to do with leaving the house or talking to anyone but occasionally my family. The first day of middle school is one I’ll remember for a long time. All my friends from elementary school were all going to a different middle school then I was so on the first day I knew absolutely no one. Because we moved so late in the summer I was considered a late transfer student, so on the first day of school they still hadn’t made my schedule yet. I was stuck in the office fighting back tears for all of my first 3 periods waiting for them to finally finish my schedule. Because I was late to my classes on the first day I had to wait to set up…
