Life in Second College is unforgettable
Life in Second College is unforgettable, I still can recall back my experiences in my first year of university life. I was far away from my family. It was my first time to be separated from them. I was very blur when I enter to college at the first day. The orientation week is the most unforgettable for me in second college. I had met many new people all over the states during those days. On the first day, it was a bit difficult to be with people I never knew. I did not know how I should behave just to fit in. However, there were many activities that can let us know each other during the orientation week. We had more understood about each other through those activities.
Besides that, there was a big event organized in our college after orientation week, which is Family Day. The purpose of organizing this event is to facilitate the relationship among collegiate second college. This event was conducted for about one month. We were divided into four groups to compete with each other in several activities. These activities include Dikiria, Sing and Dance, English Drama, sports and so on. I still remember that I joined Sing and Dance with some friends. We went to practice every day in order to perform and compete with other groups. I was very enjoying during that time. I also met wonderful friends who are still my best buddies even until now.
In addition, there were other activities organized in second college, such as Second College English and Environmental Day, English Drama Inter-College and Run For Life. I think college is a dry run of the rest of our lives. It is a training ground on how to be successful and become good people. I love and proud to be in Second College.

My cousin, Kim picked me up one weekend and took me to Philadelphia for the weekend. While I was in Philadelphia we went to museums and I tried an authentic Philly cheese steak. I was overwhelmed with excitement that my cousin came to pick me for the weekend that it was my favorite part of my six weeks. Although the program was supposed to be a glimpse of what college is going be like in the fall, that the experience was a terrible example of what college would be like. I learned what people I want to be around and what people I do not while I was in Maryland. Although this is not the type of program that I want to do in the future however, I learned that I am capable of making decisions without the help of my…

: As a first year college student I think that adjusting to college would be one of the hardest things for me to do. Making the transition into a new environment and new relationships with new people is not the easiest thing to do when you have adapted to certain people almost all your life. I will be expected to adapt to an unfamiliar environment, adjust to different living arrangements, and develop new relationships. Living with roommates may be the first ‘test’ of my freshmen experience. I will have to face the challenge of adjusting to roommates who may have very different boundaries and individual needs than family and friends from home. My roommates and I may or may not develop close friendships, but communication and compromise can build a smoother transition. College brings a unique opportunity to interact and live with people from various backgrounds and cultures. Expanding my worldview by learning about each other’s differences and similarities will likely enhance my college…

The Early College was the push I needed to better myself as a student and as a person. In high school, I received stellar grades and test scores without trying. I never needed to study, and I did the bare minimum for a majority of my assignments. Occasionally, I would find an assignment that I loved and go way beyond the requirement. I was a teacher favorite, but I was disliked by other students because I was a bit of a show off with my intelligence. I never needed time management skills, so I never developed them. While I was received good grades, I did not improve any of my skills or abilities. This program helped me find my faults and make changes that have made a world of difference.…

One major difference I found in college and school life is freedom of students. School have a lot of rules to be obeyed, example hair should be tied up neatly, students have to wear particular school uniform, and shoes should be white. In the case of college there is only fewer rules to be obeyed. We don't have to wear uniform to attend lecture and classes. On another hand school life has lot of fun and happiness. We got lot of innocent friends and free of tension, burden. College life is not very much cherished, because there is always a pressure on you to go for employment from the moment you…
