Personal Narrative: Everyone Isn T Ready For College
College is the first step into adult hood. You are no longer forced to listen to instructions and do homework. But of course not doing so, can result to consequences. These years for me were like a roller coaster. The highs, lows and standstills made me learning responsibility, because I had no one to blame, everything that went wrong was all on me. Despite the challenges I made the best of every situation and pushed forward. With my college challengges I can relate to Cox, Green and Bellafante on serval levels.

(Greens’) Article says many students aren’t ready for college. The rate of high school graduation has went up but college performance rate has dropped to its lows’ (Green). I believe this because in high school the system had become so complex teachers just want you to pass a test or grade, instead of you really knowing the material. Moreover with the decision I made to attend community college I wasn’t granted with student housing. I had to get an apartment and of course I had roommates. Living by myself wasn’t even an option I’d never done it prior to college and didn’t plan on doing it while in college. That was a major change for me, I had always had a job since the age of sixteen, but never had bills. My money was normally spent on whatever I wanted to spend it on. Money management became a must. Providing food, clothes, shoes, lights, water, phone bill, gas, car payment, and rent was extremely difficult it was foreign to my life. In Greens’
