It Lead to Social Problem
The age of IT has taken a lot of people by surprise. While it has become a way of life for some, others know very little about it and may be unlikely to learn. Eventually we will have a palarised society and this will lead to serious social problems. To what extent do you agree with this agreement?

In recent years, IT age has far-reaching influenced a large number of people. It cannot be denied that IT

could lead to some serious social problems and paralsing society. I agree with this statement to a certain extent

and I will outline why in this essay.

There can be no doubt that information technology usually results in paralising society and serious

social problems in several ways. First and foremost, in modern world, a majority of woking people spend less

time face to face with their partners and children due to spending time on the internet or other kind of information

technology. As a result of this, partner may be neglected which could lead to a divorce. Another point to be

concerned about is that children may not receive appropriate guidances, which may bring about other social

problems. A common illustration of this is adolescents who watch TV programmes that present acts of violence

may commit a crime without awareness because their parents do not tell them about the difference between fact

and fiction.

In marked contrast, Information could have a variety of positive impacts on our society. It is certainly true

that, working people can work at home base on telecommuting technology which mean that parents with young

children can take a better care of their children and take a nap in the afternoon. What is more, for long-distance

relationship, couple can communicate with each other via the internet, such as using Skype, MSN or Facebook;

hence, they can keep in touch. A final point to take into account is that, victims of crime can use phone to call for

help in case of emergency.
