Children are suffering from a hidden epidemic of child abuse and neglect. Every year more than 3 million reports of child abuse are made in the United States involving more than 6 million children (a report can include multiple children). The United States has one of the worst records among industrialized nations – losing on average between four and seven children every day to child abuse and neglect. 1, 2
he primary purpose of Foster Care service is to provide a safe temporary placement for children who can not remain safely in the home of their parent(s). The children are in the custody of the Department of Social Services by court order. The goal of foster care is to implement a plan for permanency for each child.
The system was our soda can which was receiving the heat given off by the snack food that was burning. Our surroundings were the air around us because we had no surrounding walls around our whole experiment most of the heat was being released out into the air around us. Conclusion:
As we finished our project we concluded that the cheeto puff has more calories since it produced more energy when it was lit. According to our lab we can say that the cheeto puff had “2.548 Calories (kcal)/ 1g of Cheese puff,” thus a frito had “1.28 Calories (kcal)/ 1g frito” therefore the cheeto puff had more calories. We did not have the same data as our classmates, however, we did have the same data as someone else in another period. I think the reason why we did not have the same data as our classmates was because we all had different experiments and we all had a variety of different experimental errors. Another reason why we did not have the same data was because everyone’s procedures were different. There are many possible errors that could have occurred in our lab. We believe that the biggest error was not having some sort of cylinder/wall surrounding around the entire calorimeter. Since there was no wall surrounding around the whole calorimeter we suspect
