    There are two basic methods that can be used to research the diversity in a community. The one broadly classified under “observational techniques” which can utilise methods such as direct observation of people in a certain place at a certain time and the collation of data through a tick box method counting style or it could involve questionnaires whereby willing bystanders or passers-by are questioned and the results recorded. This sort of data collation can be undertaken by a number of individuals which spreads the base area from which the data can be collected.
