Courthouse Donuts Internship Analysis
Starting in October of 2015 and ending in February 2016 I had started an internship with Courthouse Donuts. Courthouse Donuts is a local doughnut shop and deli during the day and a catering business in the evening. My mentor was Jennifer Dyer, she is the owner of the restaurant. From this internship I was looking forward to learning about how the business is ran and all the meals and desserts I would be making, but mostly I was interested in the catering part of the business.
Monday through Friday we would serve donuts and lunches. My daily routine during my Internship would start at 4 A.M. I delivered ten dozen donuts at 5:45 at a local resort. After I delivered the doughnuts I would get the shop ready for the day. I would begin with making another ten dozen for the day normally I would have to make more donuts around 12 P.M. After I finish making the donuts I would start on the special of the day. Next would be our homemade soup. We cater many types of parties anywhere between birthdays, baby showers, business lunches, weddings, special dinners and Christmas parties. Our most common catering event would be our dinner menu option. During the time of my internship I had worked during the month of December, which is one of our top months for catering. I learned how to cook all of our most ordered entrée which was herb crusted sirloin, rosemary chicken, honey Dijon glazed Cornish hens, and smoke pork loin. Besides cooking the main entrée I learned how to put together salad and soup bars, and learned how to cook all of our sides. Also I would bake desserts, one of our best desserts would be our cheesecake or our red velvet

My internship experience for this summer was quite engaging, exposing, knowledgeable, yet challenging at the same time. I began to serve at PSP Professional Services on May 31st. PSP Professional Services is a private practice created by one of the licensed counselors and it is funded through several insurances and/or employer-sponsored services. Moreover, my schedule consisted of going Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 3p.m. Occasionally, I would attend Saturdays depending if there was an interpreter needed for the day. I chose this specific facility because it is located in the Hispanic area and I support the premise behind the foundation of this facility. PSP Professional Services hopes to reach out to those who have been victimized,…

My internship at Carousel taught me a lot about event planning and was very interesting to see behind the scenes of various events. Before this internship, I had a keen interest in event planning, however had never worked at a company that specialized in it. Working at Carousel taught me a lot about the working world, the planning of each event, and the intricate details that are focused on. I was very glad to have had this wonderful experience because not only did I get to see how everything is done, but I was also given the opportunity to help and plan events.…

I think I performed well at my internship. My strengths include staying positive and adaptable in any situations, and my weakness is my communicating skills. At my internship, I would never know how a student would react sometimes, so if anything did not go according to plan, I was able to adjust my plan. At the same time, I know I need to work on communicating more clearly my thoughts to both my colleagues and the students.…

By 10 a.m I was walking myself across campus to the gym to my second job as a concession stand manager. When I first arrive at work I get all the food out and set up for the tournaments and the games , sometimes I felt like I was moving in slow motion throughout the day just from being fatigued on studying in the morning and sleeping 3 hours a night. Even though I was working with little energy left, I would keep reminding myself what I was doing this for, to keep me motivated through out the day. I enjoyed my time working as the concession stand manager and getting to be around the action of the sports and the great people that worked with me. By 8:00 pm I was closing the concession stand and getting ready for my next job as a security guard that started at 9:00 pm. The hour I had in between I would study for my tests coming up that week , before having to be at work to maintain traffic on parking for the many concerts and plays that was held every other Friday, Saturday and…
