The contingency plan is to arrange in advance for an emergency event that may or may not happen. Single points of failure are really the central focus of contingency planning. Any time there is a failure of one of these elements, it can seriously risk our revenue stream and service to your customers. We have prepared contingency plans for customer online private security problem, server crashes, and factory emergency. * Customer private information security:
Since our lottery selling is a web-based business and all the trading activities such as buying, selling are transacted online, which means the most concern we should care about is the safety of customer’s private information. Every time the customer purchase lottery tickets on our website, they are required to provide their personal information including their billing information. If this information were hacked or missed, we could face huge lawsuits. That also might affect company’s reputation and lose customer’s loyalty to our business. For these, we definitely will supervise the security of our system and database. We will also set up firewall to protect the database from hackers and stronger our web applications since they are front and center in most businesses’ Internet presence and IT operations. Yet network managers and security administrators continue to focus their efforts on the network infrastructure. If a breach occurs or an unplanned outage takes place, then by golly the network perimeter isn’t going anywhere. The VPN will stay live, critical internal servers will fail over as planned, and most certainly email’s not going away. In addition, we will make sure it include not only the technical side of our Web applications in the ongoing security tests but also the operational side as well.
