The first similarity of the book and the movie is the part where Pony and Johnny both go to the lot. Hear they both fell asleep which made Ponyboy late. This led to Pony’s brother, Darry being very upset. Then Pony and Johnny to ran away to the park. The socs came and that's when Johnny killed Bob (Hinton 42-49). The second similarity is they had the rumble of the greasers vs. the socs in both the movie and the book. The fight might of happened a little differently in each, but they both had the rumble. One last similarity that is in both the movie and book is that Dally died because Johnny died. These similarities kept the storyline of the movie and the book the same.…

The book was a better representation because it had more story and depth for developing characters which is key for readers to enjoy a story. Also readers can tell what characters are thinking in a book, and it is easier to understand them, while in the movie there is just dialogue. In the movie, it did not show all of the hardships Ender faced in becoming a commander. For Ender’s final simulation at command, without knowing, he destroyed a whole planet of Buggers who were just hopelessly defending their planet. The book made it clear of one theme, always know who the real enemy is before attacking because it could just end up being a futile…

When reading the novel, the reader is presented with the idea of taking someone’s childhood in order to win. When watching the movie, the viewer gets to see children fighting and preparing for a battle without knowing the overall purpose and message of the novel. Ender’s Game is asking if it is morally correct to train a child for war. In the end though, the novel shows a more fitting message than the movie portrays it.…

In recent years, it has become popular for many of America's great literary masterpieces to be adapted into film versions. As easy a task as it may sound, there are many problems that can arise from trying to adapt a book into a movie, being that the written word is what makes the novel a literary work of art. Many times, it is hard to express the written word on camera because the words that express so much action and feeling can not always be expressed the same way through pictures and acting. One example of this can be found in the comparison of Ken Kesey's novel, "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, and the film version directed in 1975 by Milos Forman.…

The book is superior to the movie because the book has more details and more to go off of to show the reader the real picture of what really happens throughout Ender’s life. Another reason why the book is better and more interesting than the movie is because it is very interesting how the author puts the story into the future, showing new technology and what might happen in the near future. Watching a movie will be intriguing, but reading a book will definitely hide some surprises as the reader gets more depth in the…

LeAlan And Lloyd are best friends and reporters but they start to split since LeAlan graduated and Lloyd failed 12th grade and didn’t go to graduation with LeAlan. Also the book didn’t write about the principle thinking that LeAlan and Lloyd was saying all these bad things about the hood that was not true. The reason why I think that there are so many differences in the book and movie is because LeAlan grandmother was singing her favorite song in the movie and the book never said that she was singing her favorite song. I like the movie better because it shows more things that never happened in the book. I like the book a little bit because it shows more things that never happened in the movie. The book and movie versions of Our America have many differences such as the movie shows and tells that Duane got shot and the book never said that Duane got shot.…

In my honest opinion I did not like this book and I do not recommend it. The story itself is magnificent but the fact that it is 100% based off of the movie makes it pointless to read. They could have thrown in more deadly obstacles to face and made it worth reading. Overall it had more weaknesses than strengths. Strengths I can give is that if you haven’t seen the movie, then the book could definitely give you exactly what you’ve missed out on. It is a great story and is more than your average adventure tale. Reading it really does make you feel like you were a kid again, running around and being creative.…

In conclusion, there are more differences than similarities. One of the major differences in the movie was the story of how Eric Morse got dropped out of the 14th floor of an apartment building. Another major difference in the movie was how much David Issay appeared in the movie more so than the book. David Issay appeared more in the movie than the book. This is a story all about how Ender’s life got flip turned upside down, just like the enemy’s gate. In this adventure, the main character, Ender, is an insanely smart kid that is recruited by the army to defeat a hostile alien species that could attack and destroy the human race at any time. This story was first written as a novel, but a movie based on it was created in 2013. The book of Ender’s Game is much better than the movie because the movie is missing many key elements of the story.…

In both the book and the movie, the plot is very similar but is also different. They both have lots of similarities and lots differences. In the book and movie, the plot is similar in the way that Leslie dies when use swings across the creek. It is different in the way that in the movie, Jess gets his hopes up to become the fastest kid in his class, than Leslie comes along and beats him. The plot also changes because the movie has less time to fit everything in that is in the book.…

My first reason is; the movie again had more visuals than the book. Expanding on this; the movie had more scenery to show the viewer where the story takes place. Additionally, the movie also showed the the time era it took place in through setting; this in turn gives the viewer a better idea of how to perceive the story in this aspect. Second the movie had the advantage of being able to show what was going on through setting. My first reason being the movie showed the position of the characters and their behavior; this in turn displayed the tension through setting. Moreover, the movie also showed the main character’s whereabouts better through visual transitions. Last but not least, the movie showed more setting changes than the book. The book could only tell the reader that there was a change in the setting; these are usually major changes; the movie could show the more subtle ones, adding to the quality of the experience. The movie also set the mood better than the book through setting changes or adjustments. Concluding this; I believe the movie expressed the setting better than the…

In the movie you could actually see what Tulsa, OK looked like because in the book you could picture a Slump, trailer, bad neighbor hood. But the house really wasn’t in as bad as shape as I thought it would be. The difference between the people was because you could see the difference on the street. Like who they were, how old, if they were a Greaser or a Soc. Although some people didn’t really show who they were. But in the book, you can see it, but not like picture it as well. It the movie makes it bolder because you see, hear, and almost feel what’s going on. You can actually see the people doing these things, on the other hand, in the book you can read it, but not feel it. You can also see their surroundings. What’s behind the scenes. Where they’re at, and wherever they’re at, you can tell which side of town. Both the book and the movie had great descriptions on what their side was like, Socs had it all, and Greasers had nothing. Like maybe the Greasers had old cars and the Socs had brand new cars.…
