Ender's Game Book Vs Movie Essay
This is a story all about how Ender’s life got flip turned upside down, just like the enemy’s gate. In this adventure, the main character, Ender, is an insanely smart kid that is recruited by the army to defeat a hostile alien species that could attack and destroy the human race at any time. This story was first written as a novel, but a movie based on it was created in 2013. The book of Ender’s Game is much better than the movie because the movie is missing many key elements of the story. There are many important details and elements in Ender’s Game. The main reason why the book was much better than the movie is because the movie is missing many crucial elements of the story. For example, the entire section of the book where Valentine and Peter try to take control of the world to prevent war and promote peace is missing from the movie. This weakened the film because this is what made up half of the story. Much of the time and events that happen during battle school are cut out of the movie as well. This was a bad decision for the movie because it would have been interesting to see Ender’s launchie training, techniques, and some of the battles in the zero gravity battle room. The producers of the movie did not even turn the camera so that the enemy’s gate looked like it was down, even though Ender mentioned this idea randomly near the beginning of the movie for some reason. The Ender’s Game movie has many differences from the book. The Ender’s Game book is far superior to the movie. This is because the movie leaves out a majority of the book, including everything that happened outside of Ender’s training. Overall, it is a disappointment because the part of the movie I was looking forward to the most was the zero gravity battles and Ender’s long climb to becoming the leader of the best team in battle school, and the movie producers got did not show any of this other than the bare minimum for the story, even though it
