Professional athletes are often rewarded extremely substantial amounts of money and lucrative endorsement deals. Many people argue that their salaries should be reduced to smaller amounts of money. Male athletes are one of the most highly paid people in the world. Athletes are some of the most talented people, but are they worth the millions that they are paid I do believe athletes don’t deserve the millions of dollars they make for what they do. I believe that all athletes are being overpaid just based off their entertainment. I have always been a huge sports fan, but athletes don’t deserve the money other people do to deserve it. These soldiers are risking their lives every single day to protect our free country. When they are sent to a dangerous environment like Afghanistan, they do not know if they're going to ever come back to see their loved ones ever again. When they are deployed it could be the last days of their lives. What they experience overseas is something people wouldn’t wish to experience in their lifetime. While some athletes could retire after a few years into their careers, and then relax for the rest of their lives. When the soldiers return home after many months of fighting their enemies, they go through some serious issues like post-traumatic stress disorder. Athletes get to rest for the rest of their lives, but the veterans in the military have to live with the thought of war in their mind for the rest of their life. I feel that Pro Athletes should not be making all this money, they make multi millions just to play a sport. What could they do with all this money? People risking their lives every day aren’t even close to making as much money as they should be making, and an example would be the military, police, or firefighters. Some athletes don’t even “work” for very long. They play for around a couple of year’s maybe a little more depending on how good they are in their careers, while other workers would work until they're in their fifties or
