Advanced Internship Program
I believe the advanced placement program is a good fit for me because I would love to learn as much as I can, in a short amount of period. I would prefer to get ahead in my life as much as I can as a student. I would especially love to learn as much math as I can. I also want to have advanced credits, so that I can apply for university with advanced credits. I think that as a student I need to prepare myself for university and getting a job, and I think that I can achieve that if I was in the AP program. My strongest strenghth is in math and I can exel in math very much.

I can remember when I did my undergrad internship at a rehabilitation center; the Physical Therapist explained to me that if a person has ruptured their Achilles tendon, calf raises were one the best exercises. This exercise was potentially one of the best due to it strengthening the gastrocnemius and soleus muscles. He also explained that many runners should focus on strengthening exercises, simply because of the wear and tear running they are more susceptible to this type of injury.…

I know the summer course load is a bit heavy, but I will be able to handle it. It is also subjected to change depending on the internship I get. If I get the FBI internship then I will more than likely do it out state and if that is the case, then I will drop the courses down to only three classes. If I do not get the oppurtunity to do the FBI internship then I will do a local internship and continue with the course load. I should know if I will get the FBI internship by mid Spring…

I am currently taking AP Statistics and plan to take AP Calculus AB and BC my senior year. Because I am consistently strong in math - for example, as demonstrated by my PSAT's - I believe the Duke TIP Advanced Mathematics program will allow me to reinforce whether I want to major in something math-related/-based by exposing me to critical math as used in the real-world. Likewise, I want to determine whether I want to study psychology, which has always been a subject that I found fascinating but wasn't sure how to determine whether I excelled in it; I did make an A in my summer dual credit Introduction to Psychology course, though. Therefore, because I believe what's first priority is exploring one's strength, and then one's interest, the Clinical Psychology program would be my second choice. Nevertheless, I would greatly appreciate and love to have the opportunity to participate in either of the programs. I would benefit and learn greatly about my true strengths/interests from this experience, and I also particularly look forward to meeting and learning from peers who have similar…

Being able to take all honors or AP classes at a charter academy has better prepared me than any other high school…

Since first offered, I have always pursued the most rigorous courses available to me. While these classes did not amount to much of a difference from the work of the standard classes, junior year of high school offered a new level of difficult courses. At my high school, junior year is the first year in which a student is able to enroll in Advanced Placement courses offered through the College Board. The teachers of these classes have a reputation of being the most difficult on campus, even creating a reputation of their extreme workloads and high standards in the neighboring high school. Regardless of their reputation, I enrolled in each of the Advanced Placement core classes. Though many advised not to take more than two A.P. classes, as…

They need to be mentally prepared and are willing to take the challenge that awaits them. Long hours of homework and tests are ready to be served as soon as you enter the room. Regular classes prepare to babied and given the assumption that you’re too dumb for the course when in reality you’re not. In the end it’s all about the effort you’re willing to put in and what you want to get out of the…

I have loved statistics all my life. Wisconsin’s numbers were impressive. So, I decided to look into Wisconsin’s academics. The Wisconsin School of Business is extremely impressive. When I was scrolling the school’s website, I focused in on the internship section. BuckyNet is clearly a useful tool that has provided many Wisconsin students with exceptional internships. Gaining a valuable internship will be my top priority when I go to college -- I have learned just as much outside of the classroom as I have inside. Overall, Wisconsin definitely has the tools I need to go out and find a beneficial internship. Not only does Wisconsin have the tools I need for obtaining my internship, I learn much more effectively in smaller environments, so the…
