Academic Goals

Are academic goals really helpful for your future? Setting short-term goals and long-term goals can be very useful for your future. I personally will like to achieve many goals I’ve set for myself. Three most important goals I would definitely like to achieve are, Oral Communication, Critical Thinking, and Written Communication. I consider those goals so important for my future and for my career in business. Setting yourself with future goals can make a difference on your future and can take you to success on your business career.
One of the most important skills I need to improve and achieve is oral communication. It is one of the strongest skills you need to conquer in order to succeed in the business world. Communication says it all, it simply applies to many things, such as presentations, business meetings, and you’re everyday life. Communication might sound easy to achieve, as you have it on your daily live with parents, friends, pretty much everyone, but on a business industry, communication is beyond just a simple conversation. A professional and ethic communication is needed in a business field. Communication is just something that’s needed in order to be a good player for your business or your company. There are many different types of communications; these five types of communications are the most commonly, intra- personal and interpersonal communication skills, focused and unfocused interactions, and nonverbal skills. My one strategy I will apply to this specific goal will be to have more communication everyday with classmates, get involved in class discussions, and just practice it not just in a common daily communication, but in a professional way.
Critical Thinking is another goal that is being set for my future. Having the ability to be a great problem solver or make helpful decisions will lead me to a great success. They both are two things that will appear frequently on this field. I will work hard to achieve this goal and to conquer it in order to have a successful business of my own. A good player it’s what’s needed on today’s business career. Thinking ahead will be very helpful to help me achieve this skill. Thinking about strategies to conquer specific goals and working hard to make it happen will benefit me on becoming a good strategy thinker. Daily life problems are also a great start to begin practicing on problem solving and will help you gain experience for your future life. Decision making will also have a great influence for your future career, making important decisions will frequently be on you, being prepared and thinking with great intelligence is something you must conquer in order to be successful in what you are.
One of my last goals of achievement is my written communication. This area is a very important skill you will need. Having a good and professional style is needed for many things such as a well prepared paper for your work, a good and organized presentation, letters, or even e-mails. Written communication implies to having a good grammar, sentence structure, and most important sending a clear pint on what the topic of it is. Making sure that all the personnel you work with can get a good, clear, well written memo or letter. I can achieve this strategy by using good grammar skills, and by focusing on my English knowledge. Doing all my essays will also enhance my written communications.
Setting goals really benefits your future. They can be short-term goals or long-term goals, either will help you get a better view on what you want your future to look like, and things you want to achieve in order to be professional and successful. Goals take time and are not as easy to conquer, but having a clear idea and setting them is a great start for a better future full of great success. There are many goals I have set for my future career and life, but these three are my focus and most important right now, and I will do what it takes to get as everything possible in order to achieve them with great knowledge. Goals can be a great influence for your future career and make a success of yourself.
