The Advantages of Developing Technology Are: First, It Is Convenient to Surf the Internet Without the Restrictions of Time, Distance and Environment. People Can Search What They Want at Any Time. Then There Is an Essay Example
Will modern technology, such as the internet ever replace the book or written word as the main source of information? Use specific details and examples in your answers.
Technology was invented to make our life easier. Technology is the making, modification, usage, and knowledge of tools, machines, techniques, crafts, systems, methods of organization, in order to solve a problem, improve a pre-existing solution to a problem, achieve a goal or perform a specific function. It can also refer to the collection of such tools, machinery, modifications, arrangements and procedures. It helps us to do our work faster and easier. When technology was developed, with the progress of society, a lot of traditional things were rejected. There is no doubt that technology has affected all of our lives. Whether it is positive or negative will be determined by the success of our ability to communicate with those around us. While modern technology has provided us with great new inventions to improve both the quality of our lives as well as the longevity of our lives; the abuse of such can leave one with a gaping whole one’s life. Today's world is full of pieces of technology that we take for granted, the microchip has truly revolutionised the way in which we live and do business. The world we see would not be recognisable to people of a few generations ago and nowhere is this truism greater than in the world of computing. Hence it is important to stay up to date with technology news; while many may think that this type of news is purely for geeks it is clear that all of us should have at least a passing interest in news of technological developments.
Will technology ever replace books as source of information? No. For me, the best source of information is books and technology is just an option only. The advantages of developing technology are: First, it is convenient to surf the Internet without the restrictions of time, distance and environment. People can search what they want at

Anyone living today knows the effects technology has had on society today, not to mention how it’s changed our generation entirely. Our generation can hardly remember a time when technology didn’t exist. It’s become a part of our lifestyle, and isn’t going anywhere soon. “The evolution of technology has reached a point where pretty much anything is available at the touch of a button. Shopping, learning, working and entertainment can all be accessed from the comfort of our own homes, on a train or sat in a cafe,” (The Guardian).…

Technology seems to be making a huge impact on our lives every day. The internet has everything you need to know and more. There’s search engines that can help you do your shopping, there’s games, there’s chat rooms and also recourses to help yourself out in schooling needs. However I do see how it has been taking over our world. In the story “Y2K CHATRM43” Adrein talks about how Joel spends way to much time on the computer and thinks it’s useless, however Joel sees it differently. In this story I agree with Joel, there’s so much to do on the Internet, it can be very helpful for social needs and for schooling needs. Chat groups can be used to help you out in school. Having that can help you out with understanding school work and what not. The internet is also helpful with school because teachers can put the assignments online so we can access them. Online books help out a lot also instead of having to carry that huge text book home you’ve got it all right there in front of you online. Another reason I feel as if the internet is very useful is because there’s videos online that explain school work and certain subjects. If your teacher doesn’t explain the assignment good enough for you, theres online videos that can help you get a better understanding. They say in the future all schooling will be online, all kids will have their own computers to do their work and there won’t be teacher lectures anymore! What will the future bring?…

First of all, books cannot be replaced by technology such as the Internet because the book has its value, credit and meaning. Although the Internet has become more popular and more widely used, it cannot totally replace books and become the main way that human inherit literacy. According to Ursula K. Le Guin, the article, “Staying awake: notes on the alleged decline of reading,” states that reading book is a challenge and meaningful activity. When people read, they need to use their own hands to turn pages, use their own eyes to process language, and use their own brains to think; instead of just pressing the buttons (2008, ¶…

One may say that computers are far more effective because they are much more convenient – unlike them, printed books don’t have an option of automatic search, and in order to find the necessary fragment you have to look through the entire text. Books are ineffective as a source of containing information, while computer’s hard drive can easily contain many thousands of books, being as transportable as any single volume. Moreover, computer is more helpful when it is necessary to get some information quickly, for you have nothing to do but enter the necessary word into the search engine and skim through the results, whereas in the case of using books you have to go to the library or a book shop.…
