Writing As A Spoken Language
Writing plays an important role particularly in modern society. Spoken language very dominant followed by the spoken language. When talking about Language, writing is a part of four skills, apart from listening, speaking, and reading, which language student should be mastered.
Especially for the students, writing is a skill in which is they should be mastered since elementary school. Unfortunately, writing might be the most difficult skill to be mastered which contains numerous problems. Grammatical error, word order error, and spelling error is the most frequently mistakes appeared in writing process. The visual details make it possible to study subject that would otherwise be impossible, 3)
Pictures can help to prevent and correct misconception, 4) Pictures after a stimulus to further study reading, 5) Pictures help to focus attention and develop critical judgment.
The reasons why the writer chooses picture series because it brings many advantages such as 1) Picture will make teaching writing easier for the students, 2) Picture can guide the students to create words and arrange the words into paragraph in their mind that they get from the picture, 3) The students easily to get bored in writing activity in which they must spend many times to write their ideas into a writing product, 4) The. used of interesting picture will stimulate their willing of learning. Moreover they will follow the writing activities in more fun way.
The first step that teacher should take is how to motivate the students to learn because the use of translation technique becomes very bored for the students. Teacher need to make innovation in teaching. Today, there are various techniques to teach writing.

Yunus (1981:49) states that a picture series is a number of related composite pictures linked to form a series of sequences.
Based on the statement above, the researcher can conclude that picture series is a number of related composite pictures linked to form a series of sequences that can be used as a two dimensional visual representation of person, place or thing.
3. Teaching Writing Using Picture Series
There are various number of writing tasks that students can be asked to undertake and one of them is students can be given a series of pictures which tell story and they have to write story based on the pictures (Harmer 2002: 69).
Giving the students sequence pictures as the writing task in which incites them to be creative writers. From the picture, the students will get the ideas in writing their

composition and stimulate their imaginative powers. The teacher can ask the students to describe the picture or ask the students to make a simple composition based on the picture
