Women Sports Lack Public Attention
Women sports lack public attention and that effect is due to various reasons. To begin with, women do not make huge competitors in sports as opposed to men because in fact, men are overtaking every single historic sport record. Women aren't as outstanding as men as they get less media coverage and their sports are not often broad casted. Sports stadiums are not full as men when women play meaning that women sport tournament usually invoke considerable less revenues than equivalent male competitions. Nevertheless, many argue that these discrepancies reflect the lack of support and historical segregation against women sports. The increase in popularity of many female sports such as golf, swimming, tennis, and Mixed Martial Arts, show that as soon as female sports get more viewers they become popular and generate more revenues. This physical gap is caused as a result of various variables in which males and females differ upon. Males are generally more capable of performing more athletic activity due to their rugged physical structure, body hormone, gland secretion, and muscle-to-fat ratio (Paulas, 2013).
Similarly, wage gap, inequality and level of productiveness between both genders also result in gender unevenness or sexism in favor of men. Despite women’s best exertion, they still get fewer wages compared to men. Women make just 77 percent of their salary of what men are making in the same job in United States in 2011. Men with identifications, scarcer credentials and worse performances in jobs make more salaries than their female companions. There are less females athletes playing sports because of this as they are stereotyped, which results in them dropping out of sport early all because of the sexism.
