Why Is King Tut A Good Leader
As a judge of King Tutkanhaten’s leadership qualities while being being pharaoh, he was a great leader because he was understanding, nice, and orderly. One reason King Tut was a good pharaoh is because he was understanding, therefore he made his subjects happy. Tutankhaten was able to make his subjects happy because before he became pharaoh he was a farmer, Tut knew what the wanted and needed. Another reason he was an exceptional pharaoh was because he was very nice, and he wasn’t as harsh as previous pharaohs such as Akhenaten. King Tut probably wasn’t as mean because he was a young child and he hadn’t learned to be malice. Last, but not least Tutankhaten was very organized which is a good trait to have while being a leader. He was was orderly

    Throughout history, men typically dominated societies. Men have always appeared to have more respect and rights than women, depending on certain civilizations. In societies like Egypt, men were frequently pharaohs and today, are considered to be great rulers. Women were often expected to take the job of motherhood in Egyptian society. Although this was their anticipated responsibility, women, usually upper class and royal, were still permitted to get an education, to possess property, own businesses, have a job and be involved in military control. Women could also rule as pharaoh, which was an infrequent occurrence but did sometimes happen. Hatshepsut, for example, is one of the few women who became a pronounced leader in the ancient world. Her father, Thutmose I, was her mentor and therefore led her to success. Through the teachings of her father and educational schooling, she was destined to be a great ruler from a very early age. She learned many important tactics of ruling from Thutmose and many similarities regarding the success of their reign could be distinguished. Besides the guidance she had, her vivid personality, ambition and creative ideas reflected in art, policies and architecture made her ruling successful as she strived to achieve ma ‘at and legitimize her power as a female ruler. Although Thutmose IV attempted to carve her out of history, these circumstances made Hatshepsut’s greatness possible, as she is known as the first great female ruler in history today.…

    While reading the text, it soon became clear to me that most of the sources were written by rulers or people that worked for the rulers, and only talked about how strong and mighty the ruler was. So, I started to worry that finding a source that shows the true relationship between a man and his pharaoh might be impossible. However, soon I found some sources that were literary advices written by a father to a son, and in it I saw that most advices given tended to highlight the fact that the relationship with a pharaoh must be the most important relationship a person can have (excluding gods) in Ancient Egypt. The first example that saw of such an advice was in The Loyalist Instruction from the Sehetepibre Stela, where the author makes this point very clear to us. In this stela one of the advices a father gives to his son is “[The king] gives nourishment to those in his circle, and he feeds the one who adheres to / his path” (Sehetepibre Stela, 173). This quote shows that the Ancient Egyptians thought of their ruler as the sole reason the Egyptians were thriving.
