What Makes George Washington A Good Leader
George Washington is a person with many talents and I know this because I am George Washington's horse. George Washington is a person with many talents such as swordplay and being a good leader for people to be able to look up to. George Washington is a great warrior especially in battle because he knows how to lead his entire Army to victory, I am always in battle with him giving him a helping hand wherever he needs to go during each battle even in life because I am his horse. He then became someone incredible that nor him nor anyone ever though he could capable of becoming, he became a leader. George Washington was starting to become successful because, he successfully attacked the French camp near present Jumonville, when George Washington won he built Fort Necessity he was then forced to surrender it. In 1755 there was a battle called the Battle of the Monongahela, serving under general Braddock the troops were ambushed and defeated by the French and the Indians. In 1758, Forbes expedition successfully droving the French away from Fort Duquesne. Failed to secure a commission as a British officer and turned to working as a planter and a politician. In 1759 George Washington married wealthy widow Mrs. Martha Dandridge Custis.
In 1769 George Mason writes resolutions presented by George Washington to the Virginia House of Burgesses, opposing taxation without representation. In 1774 George Washington was an elected delegate to the continental congress. By the year of 1775 Washington owned 6,500 acres at Mount Vernon with over 100 slaves also April 19, shots fired at Lexington weapons depot destroyed.     George Washington was born on February 11, 1732, in Westmoreland County, Virginia. At the age of 11 his first major tragedy came upon him, which was the death of his father. Washington obtained a limited formal education, which is roughly equivalent to an elementary education by today's standards. Already at a young age, Washington rivaled with John Adams. Adams was once quoted saying that Washington was "too illiterate, unlearned, unread for his station and reputation (Presidents pg 2)." In 1748, while Washington was living with his brother at Mount Vernon, he secured the position of surveyor for Lord Fairfax's lands in the Shenandoah Valley. In 1753 Washington was living in complete comfort with 5,000 acres of land. In 1753, Washington offered his services to Virginia's lieutenant governor, to lead a mission to Ohio to warn the French out of town. In 1754 Washington built a major blunder called fort Necessity, with no success of keeping the French out, Washington retreated back with his men. In the 1770s Washington helped out with the revolution as a general. He did not have many victories but won the important battles that helped America to victory over the British.
