Why I Chose Nursing
Growing up in Ghana, West Africa, it was not the richest country and so our resources were not on the same level as the United States, the healthcare was not up to par and so coming to this country learning and education were important to me. When I came to the states I always knew I wanted a career helping other people but I wasn’t sure until the gradual realization that nursing was the perfect career suited for me. I think the main reason that inspired me to become a nurse is that in my soul I am a sensitively caring person and I know I love to help others as much and best I can in times of need. I am a loyal, hardworking, caring and compassionate person. I like to challenge myself and achieve my goals in life and so I’m always challenging myself to learn more in school and to grow as person to be an even better person and student, so nursing is the right path for me because it offers a wide range of learning opportunities and comes with a lot of diversity.
