Why Do Bombats Tend To Be Most Active When The Sun
Shawn kory
AP Bio essay summer work

Bombats generally tend to be most active when the sun is highest in the sky, or, noon. There may be a few variables that have to do with that reason. These reasons include, temperature, food availabilty and predator presence. There are more factors possible as to why Bombats stick to this cycle; however, I feel these three are the most compelling reasons. Bombats may have their highest activity around noon because it is when the sun is most present, giving them warmer tempretures. These warmer tempretures may also affect the presence of any predators they may have, meaning those predators may prefer to be out in the cold, thus making the bombats come out when it is warm. The Bombats may also

Some conclusions that we got were that pill bugs are not well adapted to areas that might be colder or pill bugs won’t exist in that type of weather. Pill Bugs live under rocks or even beneath the rocks. As it is seen on figure 1 the pill bugs had more movement on the 25 C than in the other temperatures. Therefore, pill bugs 25 C is their normal habitat temperature because it has a perfect weather for them to be able to survive. One probable error that the group had was when one of the pill bugs die during the 0 C temperature because it was too cold for them. At the end of the result it was conclusive that the pill bugs had few movements during colder temperatures like 0 C and 35…

The simulation when all predators were present. The reason is because when predators, specifically starfish, are present the mussel population along with populations of all the rest are able to be controlled. This results in mussels not taking over using their competitive dominance allowing other prey to thrive so that the other predators can survive and be part of the ecological diversity.…

I believe this has to do with the reaction the Bursatella leachii has towards the sunlight. This hypothesis is based on the idea that the Bursatella leachii eat during the day. Since they are not plants and do not get energy from photosynthesis, they get there nutrients from other animals or plants. Their food could be most prominent in the day time, or maybe it is easier to see, so they spread out to "hunt" during the day time.…

Isabel Wilkerson is an African American Howard University journalism graduate writer and the first black woman in the history of American Journalism to win a Pulitzer Prize. Among her notable works is the novel “The Warmth of Other Suns”. The novel The Warmth of Other Suns was about the Great Migration which occurred between the years 1915-1970 and this was the movement of approximately seven million Black people out of the Southern United States to the North, Midwest and Western states from 1916 to 1970. Blacks migrated to escape widespread racism in the South, to seek employment opportunities in industrial cities of the North, to get better education for their children, and to pursue what was widely perceived to be a more prosperous life. Wilkerson wrote this book because she wanted to report about the most under-reported story in American history. Despite the fact that the Great Migration was one of the largest internal migrations in the US, it was either not reported in-depth or not reported at all and her book addressed the omissions. Also her parents were among the 7 million people who partook in the Great Migration and that was one personal reason why she wrote The Warmth of Other Suns.…

Sunspots usually travel in connected pairs. The surface of the sun can reveal small dark areas that vary in numbers and location. Sunspots even tend to cluster in bands above and below the equator. Sunspots are darker than the rest of the sun because they are lower in temperature and release less energy than the areas surrounding them. Sunspots largest number recorded is about 200. Sunspots last for several days. Even though the largest ones can last for so many week. Larger sunspots are big as the earth.…

This egg can be white in color to a light mahogany and anywhere in between. This borer will have up to 90 siblings it will need to compete and/or mate with for the rest of its life to survive. Adults lay their eggs in late May to early July and will continue to mate and forage on ash leaves for the remainder of its life causing minimal damage to ash leaf foliage (Poland and McCullough 2006). After about two weeks, the eggs will hatch under the right conditions and the larvae take their first steps (or wiggles) on Earth. The larvae immediately begin chewing their way into the inside of the tree where they feed off the tree until winter. If a clutch of eggs were laid later in the season, they will overwinter as larva and require an additional year to complete this developmental stage (Poland and McCullough 2006). During the winter months, the emerald ash borer chew a gap in the wood around it large enough for it to begin the first stage of pupation. The borer will lie dormant here until next year of mid-May where it will emerge and continue the destructive cycle (Poland and McCullough 2006).…

Barracudas welfare to humans are pretty low. There has been some attacks, mostly on swimmers in murky conditions. Some abiotic factors to the barracuda are temperature, rainfall, and too salty of water. The barracuda is one of about 20 species of predatory fishes in the family. Barracudas are usually found in warm, tropical regions, and they are usually associated with more shallow nearshore waters. The barracuda usually eats whatever they want. But there predators are tuna, dolphins, and certain sharks. The barracuda can protect themselves by their speed, size, and the size of their mouth. They also have camouflage ability for protection against predators. Young barracudas often hide themselves behind seagrass or mangrove habitat.…
