What a Wonderful Time of the Year
It’s the Most Wonderful Time of The Year

Since I was a little kid, Christmas has always been my favorite time of the year. It is magical with all of the special treats and traditions. Most importantly is the family, they are everything to me when Christmas comes around it makes it even more special.
The least important thing about Christmas to me is Santa. When I was little it interested me more because I believed in him and I just couldn’t wait for Christmas to come. I was always good and “never” bad for the whole year. When the time finally came to write to Santa I was all for it I would leave milk and cookies for him in front of the TV. I also left celery and carrots for the reindeer.
All the lights and sparkling decorations inside the house is what Christmas really is. The most important Christmas decoration is the tree, because without one it really isn’t Christmas. The tree is where all the presents go under from Santa. Nearby the tree, is where you hang up the stockings to be filled up with goodies on Christmas Eve. On the other side of the tree we have a dancing Santa Clause.
The most important thing about Christmas to me is family. They are always there for me when I need them the most. They never judge me on my decisions either. Inside is where we take our family pictures in front of the tree all lit up. Between dinner and Christmas movies and gift opening, there is always someone going around snapping pictures of us all. So we never forget this special day.
Beyond all the magical things that happen in the month of December, being with the most important people in your life is what really makes Christmas so special and memorable. Even though it is only one time a year we all make it count just like it was every

Christmas is a holiday celebrated around the world. Children wait all night the evening before for santa to place their gifts beneath the tree. Excitement rages from them the morning of December twenty-fifth; pretty wrapping paper and shiny bows glisten under the christmas tree lights while the bulbs upon it sparkle so elegantly. However, Christmas is not about all these aspects that it is displayed as. Christmas has more meaning than pretty gifts and how many gifts each child has under the tree. This holiday is above the amount of money one kid gets while the next gets so little. Though some see Christmas as a materialistic holiday, it has far more depth than so little meaning. The Holiday of Christmas contrasts greatly with celebrations…

Christmas is one of the most incredible times of the year; snow on the ground, a warm fire in the living room, and twinkly lights around every turn. When I was young, I loved Christmas. Toys and treats had me in a daze for almost a week straight. I was a typical kid, and my focus during any holiday was, “What do I get? Who brought me presents?”. I never realized the true meaning of why we have holidays, other than presents, until I was seventeen years old. As I’ve started to see my family less and my co-workers more, I understand that the true meaning of holidays in general, is to spend time with our loved ones. Taking my new found wisdom into account, my opinion of the “best holiday of the year” has changed from Christmas to Thanksgiving. My views, including favorite holiday, have changed because my focus on what’s important has matured.…

My family celebrates Christmas. Christmas is my personal favorite holiday, for mostly selfish reasons, but reasons none the less. On Christmas Eve we start by going to my grandparents house and having a big dinner and opening stockings that my grandma hand made for us when we were born. Then when we get home the first thing we do is unload the stuff from our grandparents house and get ready for bed. My siblings and I go into our parents bedroom and get on Santa Tracker immediately so we know when we should go to bed. This year that might change though, becuase Miles, my little brother, knows about Santa now. We find a Christmas movie or two then settle down on the floor or bed. Usually we watch How The Grinch Stole Christmas and Elf. We watch How The Grinch Stole Christmas because when we first started the tradition that is what we watched and the second movie because it is our favorite Christmas movie us. The tradition started one year when for Christmas we got new furniture for our rooms and we could not be in our rooms while they were putting the furniture together. Basically the tradition started as a trick and we liked it so much, we thought, let's do it again next year a couple of times. I suppose that is how most traditions start though. The idea behind the tradition is that we all wake up together and we all see the presents at the same…

To me Thanksgiving is better than Christmas. The reason for that is Thanksgiving has the best supper. Just cause Grandma made it. Every once in a while, grandma might not feel well enough to make our Thanksgiving dinner. Therefore everyone pitches in. My mother might make the macaroni & cheese. Auntie will make the splendid dressing. Robin will bake the ham, glazed with pineapples. Everyone has their favorite dish. As for everything else Grandma will make it. No one can duplicate anything that Grandma cooks.…

The holiday tradition for christmas in my family starts on Christmas eve, since I have little brother and sisters we bake cookies for santa and set the milk out and we even put reindoor food out! (It's glitter and trail mix) When me and my siblings have finally fell asleep, my parents put out nthe gifts they don't wrap the ones from santa so it looks more realistic! Anyways, early in the morning we wake up and see the gifts from santa, then we open the ones from our parents. After our presents have been opened and the mess from all the wrapping paper and open boxes are cleaned up we go to the waffle house and chow down! Then we get together with our whole family and have christmas dinner and exchange presents. I love christmas with my family, not only because of the gifts but because we don't get together as much as we should!…
