Examples Of Cultural Identity
When i think of cultural identity I think of people that belong to a certain group or something that makes them. Some aspects that are important to me are my social groups and the holidays when my family get’s together. My social group and the holidays impact me by showing what it’s like for a variety of different people getting together. The social groups that I belong to vary from family to friends. When i’m with my family i feel loved with people I care about and when i’m with my friends I feel happy because they're always there for me and they make me happy. When i’m gathered with my family we usually gather on special occasions or family gatherings. My family is important to me because we rarely get together and when we do its one of the best feelings in the world being surrounded by people that have known you from the start. My other group that is important to me is my friend group. My friend group is important to me because when i get to school they greet me in and when i'm feeling down there always there for me. When christmas comes around there are many thing that happen in my family as well as thanksgiving. On christmas eve/day my dads side of the family gets together for a big dinner with ham, mashed potatoes, sweet yams, and my favorite green bean casserole. After we eat dinner we like to play family games and sometimes we just sit around talk about what's going on in our lives. But another great holiday i like to celebrate is thanksgiving. On thanksgiving day my dads family gets together and has a big dinner and watches the football game. When a holiday comes around it's one of the best times because sometimes that's the only time i get to be around and see my family all together.
