Well-Paid Jobs Research Paper
From when we are young, we are told we must pass matric and get a degree so that we can get a well-paid job. While this is a good goal to have, some students become stressed to the point where they suffer bad health and sleepless nights by going to university.

Those who graduate without failure are lucky, but many students have to re-write exams and this leads to longer studying and higher costs for education. Moreover, some students cannot afford to pay all the costs so they drop out to get income by taking full-time employment.

Getting a well-paid job can be the fulfillment of your goal, but not everyone enjoys the pressure that goes with it. If the position gives no job satisfaction even though you have material benefits, doing the work

If a job which suits the nature and personality of an individual is done happily it will far outweigh doing work which is giving little or no pleasure. It may also lead to changing jobs often and may be that one cannot find a job that is suitable, and they will start to loose interest and become demotivated. They will have an unhappy and demotivated life in an unsuitable well-paid job and not become socially accepted with the higher income social group with which they would be forced to work.

If having a well-paid job is the only measurement for success, then everyone’s goal should be going to university after school. The obvious advantages are the rewards of high salary. For those who want careers which require a degree, this should be their goal. For those who decide to rather aim for alternative careers such as technical work or going into the trades, encouragement should be given to them to follow that path to have a happy and satisfying life even if the pay is lower.

Because we are not all the same, and because there is a need for all types of employment, our advisers must allow for this and it should be explained to children from a young age that it is not considered an inferior choice.

Having a high position, it may give you higher satisfaction of yourself for being more superior than others but having a higher position is nothing but to just think highly and proud of yourself. Having a higher position, only makes you more proud and does not affect much on the salary even because the job is not done well. Even when having a higher position, people may still not be happy because it is not their passion for that career. For example, my aunt was the secretary of a law firm, she was given a high position in the career but she was not happy with what she is doing. Everyday she will pull a long face and complains about her job because of her mood, she did not do very well on what secretary should do and thus did not impress her boss. Thus, a career is not important and not considered because it is just about the position not the passion or thinking about the salary.…

Higher education is viewed by many young adults as a precursor to a successful career. Young adults hope to achieve success and gain invaluable knowledge that will help them succeed in this chaotic world and find their place. Dreams and aspirations in the minds of these young adults are admirable, but naïve at the same time. University is a place where students will explore new ideas, learn information that will assist in their career objective of choice, and develop the skills they will need. Although a foundation for many on the road to starting a career, many students are naive to the real world, and the problems they will face and must overcome.…

    Defining a Good Job

    • 320 Words
    • 2 Pages

A good job is very difficult to define because it means so many different things to different people. How often do you hear that you should go to college to get a good job? Is a good job simply one that has more security than others? Or, is a good job always the highest paying job? Perhaps you define a good job as something you really enjoy doing. Because people interpret a good job to themselves in so many different ways, it is difficult to give any definition that is true for everyone. However, in my opinion a good job includes: sufficient pay to meet all my family's needs and a little extra for saving, interesting/meaningful and flexibility of time. Firstly, salary is regarded as the important definition of a good job. A great income opens many doors if used properly - savings for the future, a higher standard of living, and so on. Nevertheless, what good is that higher standard of living and savings for the future if you're living in a state of unhappiness. Secondly, a good job is a job you love.I think being passionate about your work meant something that you can do for hours and hours and never get sick of . However not all passions match up with the realities of the job market. If you’re passionate about poetry or painting, you’re going to find very limited job opportunities for those things. In those cases, it makes sense to find work that you can do reasonably happily, while pursuing your passions when you’re not at work. That’s completely okay. If you can find a way to turn what you love doing into something that makes you a living, go for it. Thirdly, the more flexible the hours, the better it is. That has a very real cost. Every time you miss something important with your family, it's an opportunity that never comes…

Of course, there are lucky people who find that the career of their choice is both high paying and highly enjoyable. However, not everyone is so lucky. Many people I know are unsatisfied with their jobs. They go to work in the morning and force themselves to work. All this is done just for money. They finish work at the end of the day, exhausted. They feel a bit better once a month, on payday, but nothing else about the job is good. Other people love their jobs, but are leading hard lives because the career of their choice doesn't pay them enough.…

There are those who argue that salary is the one and only important condition when choosing a job that can be called an ideal one. It is partly true because many family people sacrifice their personal interests and the process of obtaining pleasure from working in favor of a good salary in order to provide their children with the best. However, it is my belief that we should not forget about job…
