Task 1—Configure DES Global and Node Statistics
Under Node Statistics, select Data Traffic Received (bits/sec) and Throughput (bits/sec). Capture a copy of the completed Choose Results dialog ( ) and paste it into your lab document.

Task 2—Run the Discrete Event Simulation
Use to capture a copy of the Simulation Execution dialog shown below and paste it into your lab document.

Task 3—Analyze the WLAN and WAP DES Results

Under Global Statistics for the Wireless LAN, select Delay and Throughput. Make sure that the presentation is set to Stacked Statistics. Use to capture this DES Graphs window and paste it into your lab document.

What is the average Throughput for the Wireless LAN?
.
The average throughput is about 700,000 bits/sec for the Wireless LAN.

When does the largest delay in the Wireless LAN occur?

It looks like the largest delay starts from the beginning for about 0.7 seconds.

Under Object Statistics, select Group A WAP / Data Traffic Recvd (bits/sec) and Group B WAP / Data Traffic Recvd (bits/sec). Change the presentation style to Overlaid Statistics. Use to this DES Graphs window (as shown below) and paste it into your lab document.

When does the Group A WAP traffic dip begin? it starts in about 25s in

When does the Group A WAP traffic dip end? it ends in about 1min and 5s

What server traffic accounts for the peak in Group B traffic? Both A and B Server’s traffic accounts for the peak in Group B WAP Traffic.

Task 4—Analyze the Group A and Group B Server Throughput
Under Object Statistics, select Server for A Group / Throughput (bits/sec) and Server for B Group / Throughput (bits/sec). Change the presentation style to Stacked Statistics. Use to this DES Graphs window (as shown below) and paste it into your lab document.

When the simulation started, throughput was at 25,500,000 bits/sec. At 13 seconds which is when the roaming node entered the engineering building, throughput dropped to about 21,600,000 bits/sec at a loss of 3,900,000 bits/sec. At it left (at around 18 seconds), throughput went up to 25,500,000 bits/sec.…

I have selected these food choices from Wendy’s menu as I feel the healthiest for a sound meal. The meal contains a total of 660 calories, total fat 21.5 grams, cholst 45, sodium 385 mg, carbs 70g, fiber 5g, sugar 51g, and protein 15g. The information above how the count of nutritional values shows to be enough calories per meal based on 2000 calorie diet. Total count may be a little high but not too much to consume but making sure this limit is low considering the link between fat and heart disease. Cholesterol number is ok but the sodium count is high this could be a concern down the road for high sodium count could lead to high blood pressure and unstable cholesterol levels. Carbs being at 70 grams is not to much and 5 grams of fiber is the amount. 51 grams of sugar is to high but considering other choices this is lowest possible and with the high count of sugar links to depression and obesity have been cited. The protein could be higher but it’s reasonable. This information above about the meal I have chosen is ok for being fast food. Making sure to keep the carbs and cholesterol a minimum will be the…
