I have selected these food choices from Wendy’s menu as I feel the healthiest for a sound meal. The meal contains a total of 660 calories, total fat 21.5 grams, cholst 45, sodium 385 mg, carbs 70g, fiber 5g, sugar 51g, and protein 15g. The information above how the count of nutritional values shows to be enough calories per meal based on 2000 calorie diet. Total count may be a little high but not too much to consume but making sure this limit is low considering the link between fat and heart disease. Cholesterol number is ok but the sodium count is high this could be a concern down the road for high sodium count could lead to high blood pressure and unstable cholesterol levels. Carbs being at 70 grams is not to much and 5 grams of fiber is the amount. 51 grams of sugar is to high but considering other choices this is lowest possible and with the high count of sugar links to depression and obesity have been cited. The protein could be higher but it’s reasonable. This information above about the meal I have chosen is ok for being fast food. Making sure to keep the carbs and cholesterol a minimum will be the

In today’s society where everyone is always busy and on the go, fast food is inevitable, but it does not have to be a complete disaster concerning nutrition. When I consider the taste of McDonald’s compared to the taste Of Burger King, I prefer Burger King. I have always been curious about the nutritional value of some of these items, but always worried I was making the wrong choices. I started by noticing the toppings and servings of a few of my personal favorite menu items. After looking at the toppings, I found items that compared in the way they are prepared. After, looking at the preparations, I noticed the differences in the nutrition facts. Although Burger King and McDonald’s have similar menu choices, the nutritional value of McDonald’s menu makes it the healthier option of the two.…

I had to gather information over a 3 day period on what an individual ate, drank and how much exercise they did over that period of time. I did this so I could assess what could be changed and recommended in their daily intake. The individual I used was a 17 year old female, her dietary intake would be different to an elderly person or a pregnant woman. Guideline Daily Amounts or GDAs are a guide to how many calories and nutrients people can consume each day for a healthy, balanced diet.…

Even though many fast food places are known not to be so healthy, there is one fast food place that contains so many different kinds of healthy items. This healthier restaurant is known as Subway. Subway has actually been known to help people lose weight, and lose it quick. However, like Burger King, Subway has sandwich’s, which means they are all served on bread, and we all know that the bread is where most of our carbs come from. One of Subways healthier subs is the 6 inch sub on 9-grain whole wheat bread, with lettuce and tomato. This 6 inch Turkey Sub contains only 280 calories, 4 grams of fat and only 5 grams of carbs. Just this one sub is cutting more than half of your carbs and calories, then the Whopper at Burger King. By ordering your subs on a whole wheat bread, is actually cutting carbs tremendously, rather than getting stuck with the sesame seed bun at Burger King. Subway also has many healthy sides compared to BK. Subway does not have French fries as a side, but they have sliced apples, plus a side of soup or salad, and of course a bag of fried, or baked potato chips. Even though Subway is one of our healthier fast food places, there are a few things on the menu that are unhealthier. For example, the Pastrami Melt Sub. This 6 inch sub that is usually served on white bread contains 580 calories, 31 total grams of total fat, and well over 1,330 mg of sodium. Now this is obviously not the worst thing on their menu, compared to Burger King, but it is certainly not Subways healthiest. When we are eating Subway, it is basically a build your own sub, we really want to avoid white, or five cheese breads, and stick to a whole wheat, or a 9-grain whole wheat. Something else to think about is mustard over mayo, and even the vinegar and oils. So with all of this being said, I hope now people will know what is healthy and unhealthy between the fast food restaurants of Burger King and Subway.…

Should your health information be private or released to the employers? The Health Insurance Profitability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) privacy rule allows protection of one’s identifiable health information. It gives everyone the rights over health insurance, the right to obtain a copy of your health insurance, and who can review/obtain your health insurance. This was created in 1966 by department of Health and Human Services to “assure that individual’s health insurance is properly protected while allowing the flow of health information needed to provide and promote high quality healthcare and to protect the public health and well-being”. (hhs.gov) HIPAA requires signed authorization from individuals before sharing their information to third parties, which restrict all covered entities from releasing protected health information. The HIPAA act affects not only employees but also health insurance companies, hospitals, clinics, and medical practices. HIPAA allows sharing information to only be useful in finding treatment, payment, and operation. (TPO) Any sharing done outside of TPO requires special permission. It also affects employers that offer group heath care insurance.…

I believe that e-mail usage with an organization is beneficial to all parties within an organization. Its main purpose is for communications between employees, management, and clients. It is a tool used from a PC to a PC or MAC which is sent and received in seconds, As far as the downside of e-mail usage can be the information being sent and received and the privacy issues. Organizations fear that that the information being sent and or received can lead to a lawsuit or cause adverse publicity for that organization, which could be costly to an organization. This is one of the main reasons organizations limit the usages of e-mails. The path once an e-mail leaves an organization is a very broad one, it goes through an IP address from sender to an IP address to the receiver (or what we call the internet). And the receiver can then take the information sent to them and resend it others without the permission or even knowledge of who in turn will receive it and what they will do with it. An e-mail can pass through many hands before ending up in the right place.…

For thousands of years, up to the 20th century, the land of Palestine was a homeland for Christians, Jews, and Muslims.
