Want and Children S Mother
When I was born, my mother raised me. Sometimes, my father let me do something. He is not concerned my studies. He said ‘when will you have a holiday? Where would you want to go?’ Everyone’s education is different. So, my mother is different from my father. She is very stern with me. She always gives me many classes. So in my primary school, I went to art class because my mother says girls should draw. And if I study poorly, my mother will let me go to some math class, physics class or other classes. Sometimes my teacher asks about my school life. But my father always said ‘Don’t worry about your homework. You can stay with your friends.’ He says studying is easy. He always takes me out to play when my mother goes working and on a holiday. So, I like my father more than my mother.
For example, when I was in the primary school, once my exam results were bad. When I went home, my father was not at home. So I was afraid my mother came back. If my mother saw my results, she would be very angry. I already imagined she was angry, it was very scary. In the evening, my mother came back home. I was hiding in the room. Then my mother called me to go out to eat. She saw my report card when us ate and she suddenly stood up. She angry said “Why are your results so low, are you a fool? I warn you don’t want to go out to play!’. Then she used her hand to hit my head, it’s hurt. But my friend’s mother is not like this. She tells me her mother always said “Don’t worry, you can continue to study hard!”. Her mother always encouraged her. She does not use violence to solve the problem. So during that time, when I do wrong. I’m afraid for my mother to know, because I am afraid of what she might do.
In the outside, if I do wrong things. My mother is very angry and she will scold me loudly. For example, that day my mother take me go restaurant eat. I accidentally put drink in my clothes. Then my mother scolded me loudly. She said ‘why you are so stupid, you are my child?’. That

I was often left feeling very undervalued and useless and was always told that “You should have done better”. I did not agree with my mother administering physical violence towards me, I lost respect and any affection that I had left for her. I was scared of her at first but later in my teens I stood up to her taking the slipper out of her hand and telling her she would not be hitting me with it. The physical violence then ceased, but she still threatened me with it, but I would just walk out of the house returning when she had calmed down.…

When I was little there were times when my parents negotiated with me involving punishments behind my actions. When I asked "why?" more than one time then I would be slapped. My parent’s responses to my response are mostly "because I said so." Most of the time I would talk back to my mother and just keep asking "why?" or say "this isn’t fair." When I say that I would always think to myself how unfair life can really be and that life isn’t always fair. While I am talking back to my mother or keep asking the say question then my father would walk in and tell me to do it or respect my mother. When my father tells me I would do it because I am afraid of him when I was little. Most of the time if I see my father coming I would run away and go do what my mother do me to do. If my father catches me after he walks away to go get his belt or reach across the table to give me a quick slap across the mouth. I would be trying to not cry and hold back the tears while hiding my head under my arms and the negotiation would be complete.…

The most serious problem is the relationship with my mother. I have to sustain the relationship because we love each other. However, I often feel that the ways she loves me and tried to take part in my life are too strong and uncomfortable. In my opinion, she does not have her own life. Throughout my life, my mother always reflected a very close minded person that was scared for her children to find out anything about her or her past that she was ashamed of. In the duration of my life, my family members that did have knowledge of my mother’s business started telling me shocking things that, for some part, I should have learned years ago. Its almost as if my mother wanted to make her children think she was perfect. I guess that is the goal for all parents but in my mother’s sense, it is weird and unusual . At this moment in time, I am an adult, and most of the things that I learned from everyone else about my mom, she still haven’t opened up and informed me of these stories, which is one reason why me and my mother never really had a bond like a mother and daughter should. I have prayed to my Lord and Savior to bless me and my mother with a close relationship, but I guess my faith just isn’t strong enough. Mothers don’t seem to realize that men of today are very cocky, manipulative, and disrespectful, and as the job of being a mother, daughters should at one point before the age of 16 learn of their past in some kind a way and should be informed on the dos and don’ts when lifelong decisions come into play.…

To begin, parents always support you. They believe in you, even if you struggle. They guide you whenever you need comfort. Parents also usually know more than you in almost all things, from academic subjects to real life situations. Since I am with my family for hours every day, there is time for them to show me what I might know and teach me what I don’t know. Whether I need help in math, or a task like putting on a tie, my parents will show me to the best of their ability. Overall, my parents have changed three things: my grades, my attitude towards my family, and my outlook on school and how to do well in…

    Narcissistic Mothers

“I wish you were never born”, my mother screamed across the living room. Mom was in one of her moods again, what was new. She has a way of making you feel like you couldn’t even understand. You didn’t know if you should run to her aid or go shut yourself in your room to get out of her hair. No matter what she made you feel it was always about her. I dealt with my mother’s selfish moods on a daily basis. I did not even come close to understanding this as a young child but always had an innate feeling that there was something seriously wrong with her. I would go back and fourth being pissed off to severely empathetic to her. I have always struggled with wanting a relationship with my mother; I love her and hate her all in the same breath. I can never recall one time in my life feeling like we were emotionally connected. I just want her to be sorry, and even more than that I want her to just recognize how bad it was. Ultimately more than anything I want to feel close to her. I don’t want to feel uncomfortable when she hugs me.…

It’s a typical view of family relationships as the son and daughter always need to listen to their parents, they don’t even have any freedoms. For me, my mum is the typical mother too. She always force me to do the thing she wants, like she asked me to study in Canada despite I truly wanted to stay in Hong Kong. What a ridiculous! Also, she is annoying too. I’m seventeen now so I’m not a kid anymore, I know what I should do or shouldn’t, but she would still ask me to sleep when it is 11p.m. only or tell me this vegetables and that vegetables are healthy but she never know I don’t like vegetables.…

    Talking Back

Growing up from a child to an adult took experiences, a lot of learning and help from the people who had authority over me, such as my teachers, older family members and my parents. During my toddler years, I was punished for the things I did wrong but as I grew up I often was yelled at for my wrong doing. Talking back to my parents was considered a very wrong thing to do, and my parents considered that “talking back” is a child being disobedient. Whatever my mother said to me I had to listen and do what I was told. There was no debate, no opinions and everything was non-negotiable. I considered that my mother was unfair because she would never hear me out on what I wanted to say or even try to listen to my point of view. I wanted her to get a complete understanding of things my way but growing up; it was either her way or the high way. Talking back was the worst thing you can do living under my parents roof. They don’t understand why you should have something to say because they are considered to be the adult and you’re the child, so they tell you what to do and make decisions for you. If you feel you can’t abide by their rules then that will be a major problem. “Talking back” is something that we young people do every day because we want our parents to listen, having a selfish behavior and mind to want everything to go our way. When I would talk to back to my parents I would either have an attitude or I would be just straight forward with what I was trying to say. When I would have an attitude, my gestures would be very disrespectful. I would roll my neck, roll my eyes and have a high pitch voice, my mother would look at me crazy and asked questions like: “Who are you talking to”? I would have to remind myself that I was talking to my mother, because I would get out of hand and say the wrong thing. When I have an attitude with my mother would yell at me and be very upset at the way I would talk to her. She feels that I shouldn’t talk to her…

I asked her some questions to help me on this paper and I got a couple of answers. My Mom said that there are several reasons she is strict on me. One reason being is that she wants to protect me from making mistakes that can harm me for the rest of my life. She also wants to protect me from people who don’t have my best interest at heart. She said that when you are young if you are given too much freedom you can get in situations that you aren’t old enough to handle. Protecting me from making mistakes that can harm me seems okay but if I don’t make mistakes how am I going to learn things? She also has seen so many young people end up with the responsibility of raising a baby. And now I am one of those of those kids.…

First, my mother takes great care of me. If I am sick or injured, she always knows what to do. She seems to be the same thing as a doctor, except she does it for free. When I feel upset, she will find a way for me to feel better. For example, when I cut my leg open and needed a couple of stitches, we didn't go to a doctor. My mom some how knew what to do, and stitched up my leg. My leg ended up healing in 4 weeks.…
