My relationships with my family
I won’t say that my family has an ideal relationships. Sometimes we have arguments, quarrels and misunderstandings as all families do, I think. But still I love each member of my family and happy to have them. I get on well with all the members of my family.
I’m an only child in the family. Some people say that an only child in the family grows-up very selfish and spoilt, but I don’t at all.
I take after my father. But in spite of it I’m much closer to my mother. If I have a personal problem, I know that I can confide in her. We always see eye to eye, which is not often happens between parents and children nowadays.
I get on well with my father too. I can always rely on him. He used to help me with my home work if I didn’t understand something. When I look back to my childhood I remember he used to tell me that I must always rely on myself and I have to be responsible for my acts. Also he used to teach me to stand up for myself because I don’t have elder brother who will do it.
And what about my grandparents, they often spoil me. I could always get round my granny but not my grandpa. They always encourage me and approve my decisions.
Of course I’m not the ideal child in the world. So when I do something wrong or want to get out of doing housework my parents tell me off. I don’t always have my own way and I don’t get away with my misbehavior. But my parents reasonably strict and I can always get through to them.
It’s not easy to bring up a child, but my parents do it well, so that is why I love them and look up to them.

Many kids have their parents as theirs. I have both. I choose my dad because he is easy to talk to, he doesn't yell and is very understanding. He always spends as much time with me as he can. Many adults get upset very easily. Some let their children do whatever they want. I believe that both are equally harmful. I consider my dad as in the middle of the two. Sure, he has his moments when he's aggrevated, but it doesn't get the best of him. He takes me to Auto Shows, sporting events, and many other father-son activities. As you can see, my dad, as well as my mom, play important roles in my…

My parents always seemed odd to me as a child. They were very wordy and overbearing. I always wanted them to just ‘stop ' with the explanations and reasons behind everything that they did. They always had a story, explanation or ditty to give you when they told you something that you did not know. Little did I know as a child that I was part of a limited group of people who were afforded such a luxury. The stories of struggle and choice. The stories of importance and the value behind the choice to become something and to do right was always a topic in our household. There is…

My parents are always willing to teach their four children a lesson. Most of the time they only have to teach my brothers a lesson because my sister and I are angels! That statement may not be true, but in my mind it is. My parents also think you’re never too old to learn new lessons, even to this day. Whenever I do something stupid that results in me getting hurt, my dad always reminds me that “education is expensive”.…

Growing up, I had two older brothers that would always get in trouble. One brother would skip school because he thought he was a genius. The second brother would always talk back to my parents. As for me I would never want my parents upset with me so I always did as I was told. At eight years old I could not ride my bike by myself around the block, which always upset me because my brothers were allowed to go to their friend’s houses which were a mile to five miles away. I could only go up and down the short driveway.…

I come from a non-traditional family. Both of my parents had children at a young age so I was raised with two half-siblings. Although it felt like my brother, sister, and I were fully related, I grew up spending time with their biological parents and other half siblings as well. This never bothered me; rather, it taught me that every family is different and exceptional in their own ways.…

I love my mom. And I love my dad. Though they're so different, and its easier to talk about important stuff with my mom. She's always been there for me. To pick me up after school, dry my tears that fell over a stupid boy called Jamie, do my hair, teach me how to tie my shoelaces, and many more things. But don't get me wrong, my dad has always been there also, though in another way. He was more the kind that watched me learn how to tie my shoelaces and then he would say some good comment on how to improve my tying or tell me how nice I looked after mom and I had shopped new clothes for me.…
