Review strategies used in health and social care environments to overcome barriers to effective communication and interpersonal interactions. In some health and social environments, there are some barriers that may make it harder to communicate effectively and to also have interpersonal interactions.
This is why there have been equipment invented so that it can help with communication I will be explaining and reviewing these. Staff Training
Staff/care workers need to be trained well. Courses are provided in order for skills such as overcoming communication barriers are practised and also help staffs understanding how to communicate with those who may be aggressive or depressed. But not all information provided to them may help; they may have to develop their own skills through their own experiences. (Health and Social Care – level 3 book pg.29) Promoting Rights
As a care worker, it is essential to promote service users rights.
I will address the rights and elaborate on them. -One of the service user’s rights is to be treated equally and not discriminated against. If you do this Service users will feel respected. If you respect service users it’ll enables them to have their say and feel valued and listened to.

-Another right is to be cared for in a way that meets their needs and takes account of choices. If Staff/care workers don’t do this, it can cause service users to feel physically unsafe and emotionally threatened. If service users do not have their needs met, it can also cause them to be stressed. In the case study both Annie and Jim didn’t have their needs met. With Annie, her needs weren’t met this was shown when she asked the care worker if she can have toast but, because she had forgotten her dentures and the care worker didn’t want to get them for her; She gave her
