Trip: Honolulu and Turtle Bay Resort
Vanessa My Trip to Paradise I stepped out of the flight gate at the Honolulu International Airport (HIA), and into another world. The shortest 5 hour flight I have experience without any turbulence. The beautiful islands of Hawaii was an adventure of a lifetime. The air was so much different in the Pacific. It was crisp, almost like a baby taking his first breath of clean air. We were alive. We were so far from home, but felt like we belong there. As soon we got our luggage, we rented a car from the Thrifty Rental Car from the Honolulu International Airport. From there on a 50 minute drive to the island of Oahu to get to our hotel. The hotel we were staying at was called The Turtle Bay Resort in Oahu, Hawaii with my family. We had planned this 5 day trip 3 months in advance. The trip was spontaneous. We took the opportunity since my family and I been wanting to go for such a long time. As soon as we arrived to our hotel they greeted us with " Aloha," and with a leis. The weather was humid and moist. It was always 85 degrees every day. The hours there were different because of the 2 hour behind difference. For an example, it was 6 p.m. in Hawaii and in California 8 p.m. On the first night we were so tired from the flight and the whole time difference, we just stayed at the hotel and ate at a buffet they had in the hotel lobby. After eating, I remember my family and I went to explore the hotel. I still remember the smell of those bright yellow flowers, I felt like I was dreaming. The next morning, we got up super early to go hiking. We called room service for breakfast and ate really quick. My family and I went down to the hotel lobby to get our rental car to go to the hiking trail. It's one of the most hiking trail known for their amazing waterfalls. I remember taking pictures of all those wonderful distractions when we went walking up the hill. The sounds of birds and the water dropping rings in my ear every time I
