The White House is in Washington DC. The White House is where every President lives. It is the formal house and main workplace of the President of the United States. Every President has lived there all the way back to John Adams in the 1800s. The White House is one of the top secured places in the United States because of the possibility of a terrorist attack.
History:
The White House was built on October 13, 1792. The first President ever to live in the White house was John Adams. In 1814 during the War of 1812 the British set fire to the White House. Only the exterior walls were left,but they had to come down and mostly rebuilt because of the weakening from the fire and the later exposure to the elements, except for some of the …show more content…
Including 35 bathrooms, 16 guest rooms, 1 family kitchen, 1 diet kitchen, 1 main kitchen, 10 rooms on the ground floor, 6 restrooms,1 main corridor, 8 rooms on the state floor 1 entrance hall, 1 main corridor, on the second floor there Is 16 rooms 1 main corridor, 6 bathrooms, 1 restroom, on the third floor there's 20 rooms, 1 main corridor, and 9 bathrooms. The main rooms in the White House are, West Sitting Hall, East Garden Room, Navy Mess, Vice President West Wing Office, Yellow Oval Room, East Room, Oval Office, China Room, Lincoln’s Bedroom, Treaty Room, Queen’s Bedroom, Green Room, Blue Room, Red Room, Lincoln’s Sitting Room, Cabinet Room, Roosevelt Room, Vermeil Room, Map Room, Brady Briefing Room. There are 6 floors. In the White House there is the East wing and the West Wing. The East wing is used as office space for the President’s spouse and their stuff. It is home to the President of the United States. The west wing is used as the President’s executive office staff.

The White House has about 1,869 staff in the White House. In the White House there is 5 full time chefs and 50 maids. The program that works in the White House is the internship program. The internship program is a special opportunity to gain valuable professional experience and builds leadership. This program is planned to guide and cultivate today’s young leaders, boost their understanding of the Executive Office, and prepare them for future public service
