The developing countries are being requested to adopt eco-technology same as developed countries. If agreed, what affect will it have on India’s economic development?
The developed countries having plenty of resources and very good infrastructure have always attracted the developing countries to follow their path to success but in this track there are numerous elements which cause severe environmental and social degradation and in this act of destruction of earth both, developed and developing countries, are taking part equally. Due to rapid industrialization living standard has increased along with growth rate of economy but at the same time conditions of land, rivers and other natural resources is going worse than ever. There is a huge possibility of world getting destroyed if the global warming goes on at its present pace. So, in recent years, the few organizations and people have really become concerned about environment and sustainable growth of world. Consequently, all the countries have been advised to adopt technologies which are environment friendly and efficient and easily adaptable.
Countries have to follow the pathway from high-tech to clean-tech as well as socially sustainable. This requires building of sustainable and self-designing ecosystems, focusing on the direct use of whole or parts of ecosystems which will certainly contribute to the solution of environmental problems in the direction of sustainability. So, the aim in engineering activities is no longer to demonstrate that human beings are able to make everything in life by manipulation. Engineers clearly have to enable developments harmonizing technical, economical, social and ecological systems. Ecotechnology allows improvement in economic performance while minimizing harm to the environment by:
