In Into the Wild Movie

Introduction Into the wild is a movie which is based on a true story of Christopher McCandless, a good-fortune man who suddenly decided to live into the wild. This movie is directed by Sean Penn and released in 2007. The main character, Christopher McCandless, is played by Emile Hirsch.Before the movie was made, Jon Kraukauer has published Cristopher McCandless’ life in a novel with the same name as the movie, Into the Wild. The story is about Christopher McCandless’ journey across North America. He has a purpose to come to Alaska to spend the rest of his life. It takes about two years for McCandless to travel to Alaska. The beginning of the story shows McCandless’ arrival in Alaska. There, he found an abandoned bus that he called as “The Magic Bus”, which, then, he used as shelter. He spent most of his time by animal hunting, reading books and writinghis journey documentary. The story sets in 1990, when McCandless graduated from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. McCandless was a super-fine man. He was graduated with high honors and having a convenient life. However, he was bored by his life, which he thought as just ordinary life, then, he decided to go to a wild place without any provisions.
McCandless ruined all his cash supplies by destroying all of his credit card and also his identification document. He donated his entire savings to Oxfam and starts his journey by driving his car across the nation. McCandless decides not to tell his family about his sudden journey which made his whole family anxious and desperate. After arriving at Lake Mead, Arizona, McCandless gets a flash flood that made him abandon his car and continued his journey by hitchhiking, asking for a ride to strangers. He burnt all his remained money so he traveled with no money, destroyed his identity card, and made a new name: Alexander …show more content…
