The Big 'C': An Informative Speech
Title: The Big “C”

Topic: The topic of this speech is to remind people to always make sure to take the needed precautionary steps to address possible forms of cancer early and efficiently. Being proactive towards your health is more important than trying to figure out a strategy in the long run.

Purpose: The purpose of this speech is to remind people that their health is the most important aspect of live and to take measures in the beginning of their lives to prevent future problems that may arise.

Audience Analysis
Demographic: Most young adults do not think that some so serious as cancer can affect them. However, cancer becomes more and more prevalent as they become older. This speech will target young adults and people who are around

I think that these three considerations will make my speech not informative, but it will also make it resonate in people’s mind for a least a while. I will also dress professionally so that my audience will take me and my topic seriously.

Talk Cards
Talk Card: During this speech I’m going to use my informative and professional talk cards to deliver this speech. I think that the topic of health is extremely important and it should not be thought as a mockery.
Content: My content will be extremely informative with large amounts of statistical data and personal accounts of watching people die from and struggle with cancer.
Style: My professional card will be extremely present throughout this speech. However, I want my audience to realize that I not a person who is just spitting out facts. Rather more, I have emotions and feeling too that tie me back to this difficult subject.
Audience: I want my audience to use their compassionate and serious cards, because the topic of someone’s future health is not a joking matter. I want my speech to help them reflect on their lives and how they can potentially improve their health in the future.
