Oil has been the dominant source of energy since the industrial age. Civilization is just beginning to find out is that the world only has so much oil and eventually we will run out. It's common sense, a linear system can not work on a planet with finite resources. Since than several groups of forward thinking engineers and scientists have been working towards new ways to generate power without the use of oil. There have been several inventions that have been found to be great forms of renewable energy, which will minimize the use of oil. But what if we cut out the main use of oil consumption? Yes, although their vehicles have a zero emissions rating, Tesla Motors still can have a negative impact on the environment. Production of these vehicles is not a very green process and uses up a lot of energy and resources. Depending on where you are and how you get your power (coal, nuclear fission, etc.) it can be just as harmful as driving an SUV.

It is said that this Gigafactory will produce more batteries than were produced worldwide in the year 2013. Also, this factory will run on renewable energy. Tesla's goal is to achieve net zero energy with this gigafactory.
Tesla can partner with more companies
Tesla has already partnered with several companies in order to accomplish goals. For example, Tesla partnered with Panasonic in order to build the Gigafactory. By partnering with other companies they can assist them to grow and achieve their own goals simultaneously.
