Teen Marriage and Divorce Marriage is an institution whereby men and women are joined socially and legally, usually for the purpose of founding and maintaining a family. When teens get generalization married at an early age, they few to get a divorce. The reasons for marrying at an early age have changed dramatically over the years. Many young people today are getting married at a very young age and they’re doing it all for the wrong reasons. The reason why young teens marry so young is because of religion, pregnancy, and leaving home at such young age. The reason marriage between young teens fails is because they are too young; responsibilities of marriage; money issues; not understanding the marriage. It is necessary to get an accurate picture of teen pregnancy in order to help solve the problem. Historically marriages were very different. For example, in Rome, the girls married between the ages twelve and fourteen as well as some young men married at the age of fourteen. This carried though where were the middle ages, women married as early as fourteen years old. In 1371, the average age for women to marry was sixteen years old and average for men was 24 years old. In 1427, the age changed for the couples to married for the men is to married at age 30’s and marrying women about half of their age. In 21th century, the most of the states, most of the teen will have to get marry by up to 18 without parent permission. That’s when marriages were accepted by society. Many people marry young because of various reasons. Some get married to be with each other. Some of it is because of religions. Everything they were taught that it is wrong teen are having sex before they get married. So, they are basing their marriage on sex which should never be the reason for marrying anybody.
