1. B) Warn George of the risk and put the sale at risk before taking the order, if George still wants to place it.
Q. 1 – What ethical principle or principles reflect your decisions?
Q. 2- How would you assess the ethical intensity in this situation?
The ethical principle that I applied was consequential theory. The Barbara did not have to tell George necessary to complete her sales and since George has been the regular and best customer, he would even be okay with the defects of his linen jacket after all. However, Barbara took the consequence by telling the truth to George even if he decides not to complete his order due the risk and continue coming because he felt trustworthy of the company and sales representative Barbara. It is the building relationship between customers. I do not necessary agree with _____ about characteristic theory that it is a personal virtues and intent of the individuals. If Barbara took her personal virtue of receiving year-end bonus that she might have made the sales transaction complete even with the risk.

2. A) Warn Juan of the upcoming layoffs.
Q. 1 – What ethical principle or principles reflect your decision?
Q.2 – How would you evaluate the ethical intensity in this situation?
Tough decision but I applied Rule-based theories. Employees are right to know what is going on even if the decision has not been made. Putting myself in Juan’s position that if I knew that layoffs will be announced then I can decide whether to purchase the home or not. If I did not know and purchased the home then consequence will be harsh on me and my family. It is Juan’s decision to buy or not but he should be aware of the company’s situation. Jose should put himself in Juan’s position that how Juan would greatly appreciate if he knew what is going on.
3. C) Decline the offer.
Q. 1 – What ethical principle or principles reflect your decision?
Q.2 – How would you evaluate the ethical intensity in this situation?
For this situation I

Although I had a lot of major projects, I also assisted with smaller tasks. Some of these tasks needed to be completed prior to my other projects. For instance, the new HRIS HealthStream was launched on June 8th 2016. After my training, I helped label and stuff envelopes which contained usernames and passwords for all employees to access their HealthStream account. Afterwards, they had to be placed alphabetically and separated into their departments. The paperwork and mailing essentials arrived less than a week before the launch. This meant the whole HR department, including myself, was responsible for getting all of the employees their paperwork before the launch. This minor task was so important that I even volunteered to come in during my…

After reviewing the results of the survey given to the employees, it became apparent that the degree in which the questions were answered did not yield a clear enough understanding to why so many employees were dissatisfied and left the company. The questions were administered using a survey and handed out along with pay statements to everyone within the study criteria. The survey used was developed to provide data regarding the overall work environment and its affect on the level of satisfaction. The answers were to be measured from employee responses. Unfortunately, the amount of participation needed was not obtained and the survey did not produce useful findings. Some of the information needed was not asked in the survey questions, errors were made when keying the information into the spreadsheet, and the response rate was astonishingly low at 17.3 percent.…

In viewing the Manager’s Hot Seat: Working in Teams: Cross-Functional, I was able to distinguish the difference between the words team and teamwork. Team refers to a small group of people with complementary skills, who work together to achieve a shared purpose and hold themselves mutually accountable for performance results ( Schermerhorm,2011). In this video, yes there was team that consisted of Rosa Denson, Cheng Jing, Simon Mahoney and Joe Tanney who plays the role of team leader for an assigned high priority project. Working in teams is essential in this age of rapidly changing technology, market-driven decision making, customer sophistication, and employee restlessness, as leaders and managers are faced with new challenges . Organizations must build new structures and master new skills in order to compete and survive. And in order to increase efficiency and effectiveness, a group effort is required as it reads in the article MindTools.…

My reaction paper is on a game that I went to see with my son at the Wells Fargo Center between the Philadelphia 76ers and the Milwaukee Bucks on fan appreciation night. The night started off great when I placed a phone call to a former high school teammate and friend who is a Philadelphia Traffic policeman. He informed me that if I put his name and traffic on a piece of paper on my dash board that I could park alongside the Xffinity center on the street. Nice, that saved me $20 and along walk. Well after a short walk we were in the building and headed to the ticket takers, where we were checked for bombs and weapons. I am ok with any extra security that is needed to ensure a safe environment for a contest. We were greeted by a 76ers employee…

The A-Team was established under a threat from Chinese companies as well as because of the declining demand for premium-priced bicycles in world markets. Under pressure, the cohesion of a group tends to be stronger. Thus Giant and Merida Industry Co. Ltd (Merida) decided to put aside their business competition and brought their suppliers together to develop a solution and to regain the reputation of Taiwan bicycle industry. Moreover, although these firms were competitors, the founder of Giant and the founder of Merida were old friends and both led the bicycle industry in Taiwan. 2. Is there some relevance that the firms were all Taiwanese firms The Corporate Synergy Development Center (CSDC), a semi-government agency, was created to assist Taiwanese firms in establishing production networks. It was characterized as a system of production in firms that were simultaneously specialized in a particular task but flexible in serving a wide range of market demands. 3. What kind of activities/mechanisms contributed to the mutual learning among A-Team members Firstly, the coaching team, which composed from Giant, CSDC and Toyota Motors, had both the expertise needed and legitimacy. The team was helpful to introduce TPS and QRS. Secondly, an internal A-Team was formed by each member company to work with other members. It promoted mutual learning. Thirdly, in 2004, more learning and sharing activities were designed for co-development of innovative and high-value bicycles and parts. Thus those activities can teach most Taiwanese firms to learn how to work with others in developing new products. Fourthly, the e-platform was established for all members could work together as well as the A-Team members and clients to exchanges information and manage development projects. Finally, A-Team members engaged in monthly visits by consultants from Toyota Motors, discussion sessions, visiting members with good performance in TPS and presentation by each member every five months. These…
