Summary Of The Song 'Meant To Be'
“Meant To Be” - Florida Georgia Line The song, “Meant To Be” by Florida Georgia Line, represents my belief that something destined to happen will happen, and often you have to just let it. For example, when my dad passed away I was too young to really know what it meant, but I remember telling myself that he wasn’t in pain anymore. The phrase “If it’s meant to be, it’ll be, it’ll be” helps me believe that we just had to let it happen because he was meant to be pain free after six years of fighting. Repetition is used in the phrase “baby, just let it be” to represent that you just have to let things happen. Imagery is used in the phrase “baby, just lay on back and relax, kick your pretty feet up on the dash” to illustrate that you just have

The song speaks about doing whatever it may be it “Before it’s too late.” Therefore, it is telling us that we have to take the chance when we get the chance because we will never know when it is going to be too late. Aside from the fact that this song was written to portray a movie’s theme, this song is also a lesson for those to many. A lesson to those to afraid to take a risk, that what they need most is to let go of their fear and take the chance. The theme “Created in the Image of God” is saying that everyone is special and no human life should be wasted because God loves us all equally and has a plan for everyone. This theme also explains that everyone is created differently for a reason. The song Don’t Laugh at Me is about the people in the world that are made fun of and Mark Wills is saying that in God’s were all the same. The song Don’t Laugh at Me represents the theme “Created in the image of God” because Mark Wills is explaining that God made us all different for a reason and he loves us all equally and we shouldn’t be treated different because we have braces or because we are blind; we should all be treated the same.…

The song Heartbreak Dreamer by Mat Kearney featuring Anis Mojiani reflects American society in 2016 through its representation of the vast diversity of our lives and the trials that shape them. In Heartbreak Dreamer, Anis expresses diversity by dedicating the song to a wide variety of people through lyrics such as, "To the men who have to hold down three jobs simply to hold up their children... For the kid who is always late to class and forgets the combination to his lockers... For the ones who are told to speak only when you are spoken to, and then they're never spoken to." These verses show the wide variety of unique problems, whether large or small, faced by individuals every day. America increasingly grows in diversity as people travel…

Miguel Primentel, a R&B and soul artist, was a breath of fresh air to the R&B game in the 2010-2013 time frame. The Ballad “Candles in the Sun” was a simple, yet powerful song with a very nice message. This song was released on his second studio album Kaleidoscope Dream on September 25, 2012. Candles in the sun didn’t chart because wasn’t a single, but the album was number three on the Billboard 200 (Wikipedia 2016). “I wanted to create a song and visual that addressed my everyday concerns of life” (Miguel 2013) The song was very repetitive but had an amazing message. The song was to make you think and call to attention to the problems of the world. During 2011 and 2012 there were conflicts in the middle east, many countries had political…

The song starts out with a strang questioning of reality: “Is this the real life? Is this just fantasy? Caught in a landslide, No escape from reality, Open your eyes, look up to the skies and see”. They first two lines are rhetorical questions. They help establish the state of mind needed in order to continue with the song. The third line is a metaphor. It means everything is crashing down on him, and he cannot escape it. It seems to conclude that he is caught between a dream and awakening. The next couple set of lines are being used as transitions into the main part of stanza one, “I’m just a poor boy, I need no sympathy, Because I’m easy come, easy go, Little high, little low, Any way the wind blows, Doesn’t really matter to me, to me”. In the third and fourth line repetition is used in order to keep the lyrics flowing. The boy thinks his life doesn’t matter to anyone, his life is meaningless and the Earth does not care what happens to him. He does not care what happens next, he just wants it over; “any way the wind blows” him, he will go and it “doesn’t really matter” to him anymore. The next three lines show intent to kill by the boy, “Mama, just killed a man, Put a gun against his head, Pulled my trigger, now he’s dead”. The boy has finally come to terms of what he has…

The words of the song give it meaning and put it into easy enough terms that the audience that is listening to it loves the song. I think when a artist is producing a song, they make it a obligation to produce something they know the public is going to love, and something that everyone can sing along to. The chorus beginning with “my wish, for you, is that this life becomes all that you want it to, your dreams stay big and your worries stay small…” repeats itself four times to emphasis that they truly do care about this person even though they may not feel the same way about the artist singing. Creating this pattern makes the words stronger and more effective to those who are listening to it. Not only does the mode, actually written words, make a song successful, but other modes accompany the words into making the tone…

In music, I compare my troubles and tribulations with the lyrics. Towards the middle of the piece, it begins to build up. When I was around 9 years old, my mom passed away from failure to receive a liver transplant. This hit my family hard and to this day, we are still haunted by the day God took her away. Since this is the middle of the piece, it's starting to have emotion and deep feelings within it. Anger, hurt, and sorrow was what I was feeling when my mom passed away. I was confused and mad at the world. I didn't quite understand why people had to die since I was only 9 after all. There was always a question of why and to this day, there still is.…

“And when you get the chance to sit it out or dance, I hope you dance.” (Sillers,2010, ll.8.&9.) If you had the chance to sit it out or dance, would you dance? This amazingly, inspirational song was written by Tia Sillers when she was at her breaking point, sitting on the beach just after going through a heart wrenching divorce. It really is peculiar that such an inspirational and beautiful song such as “I hope you dance” was written at such a devastating time. As she sat beside the ocean, pondering on all that she been through, she realized, things aren’t so bad. She interprets this in her lyrics by saying “I hope you still feel small when you stand beside the ocean.” (Sillers,2010, l.5) “I hope you dance” is unmistakabley pulled from deep within Siller’s soul. Anyone who hears this song, and truly takes these lyrics to heart could undoubtedly pull themselves out of whatever strife they may be going through at any given time. With Mrs. Siller’s inspirational words, she truly has created the most breath taking song of our time.…

Sometimes, the path of life contains various obstacles and instead of holding on we surrender via selecting the easy choice and then, sink ourselves in the river of failed hopes and dreams; giving up. Counting stars, now a popular song, was performed in 2013 by an American pop rock band called One Republic. Ryan Tedder, the band’s lead singer composed the song and produced it. The reason that lingers behind the composition of the song; according to the composer, is to resurface the importance of the issue of drugs in his hometown, America; and to recur the consequences of merging yourself deep within this problematic, influential situation. The song was written…
