Last summer, I had the opportunity to be referred to Ms. Sharon Goldmacher by my long time family friend, Ms. Judith Williams. While talking to Judith I was introduced to Ms. Sharon Goldmacher. She started a full-service marketing PR firm specializing in brand development, product launch campaigns, media relations, as well as providing marketing, PR, and promotion services. We have met once, however, I never go to formally speak with her. The interview is mandatory in order to get information for my Basic Marketing Management class, but I ended up learning so much more than what was required. As expected, it was a great opportunity…

I interviewed my sociology instructor Chelsea Bullard; she is a red head and has a very bubbly personality. In class she smiles and laughs frequently. Interviewing her was interesting because she is a grad student and has been in school for seven years and has two- three more years to go. Her experiences can be helpful for people that are undecided about their major. Declaring a major can be very scary. It’s normal for college students to find a new passion while in college straying from their intended major.…

Education is such a big deal to many people but for Chatman it is her main priority. “I want to major in debate, teaching, and photography. I really like photography because people always see action in movies but photography you can say a lot without words.” Said Chatman. When asking what college’s Chatman was looking into, she had set high standards for her to achieve. “I would love to go to Duke, University of Texas, or PV. “ Wondering why not Texas Southern University, she said “ It’s a nice campus but just not for me, I would rather go away from home and venture out on my own.”…

The faculty interview project was interesting because I had no clue who I was going to interview. Since most of my classes are taught by FIP teachers, my choices were slim. I had the options between my CDFR lecture, my SPED class, or English. I figured my Professor from my lecture hall would be too busy and push me off to a TA and that was not what I really wanted. I moved on down the list and choose English as the perfect choice. My SPED professor already told the class her entire life and my English professor, Ms. Butler was a mystery. She never really told us any background information about herself, all I knew was she was a tough grader.…

Participating in an Honors English Literature class became something I relished. We analyzed a novel, developed a power point presentation, lecture, activities, and taught the material in a class. This experience and my semester as a Cognitive Psychology teaching assistant reminded me how much I appreciated the process of…

As a student at ********* High School I feel that the use of cell phones should be allowed. In class there are not always enough calculators for every student to use, most likely every student in the room will have a cell phone, and on that cell phone there is always a calculator, allowing the use of these phones for school use they can then lower the districts budget now being able to subtract calculators. Every phone has either a memo pad or a notepad, in schools they give each student a assignment book which is supposed to be used throughout the school year to write down their school assignments and work needed to be completed. In this world today every teenage student has their cell phone steady on hand which their school assignment book should be, but are not. In this case if students could have their cell phones in class they could put their work into their cell phones with an alarm and never miss an assignment due. I think teachers should give their students a certain amount of time to put their assignments in their phones so they will only be able to use their phones for school related things. During class the teacher may ask the students to research something, while taking the whole class down to the library would take to long, many students have internet access on their cell phones which could be used at the tip of their fingers. This would save time and would allow the teachers more time to teach. The camera devices on the cell phones can come in handy also, if a student is absent a friend can take a picture of their work and send it to their friend to keep him/her…
