Speed By Kali Uchis Analysis
My taste in music varies just like any other music listener in the world. In order for the song to really catch my attention, I would need have instant click with it. Speed by Kali Uchis & Chamber of Reflection by Mac DeMarco, happen to be my top superlative choices in terms of music.
The similarity that these songs have is both obtaining a sentimental meaning of hope. Speed by Kali Uchis is a song that has such a unique beat and melody to it, it gives you the impression of a techno pop song. However, when I first heard the song, i had assumed the song was about being aware of your surroundings which later ended up being a bop elaborating about the person’s urge to have more drive with the help of their man to be, and urgent she needs his

I used Frederic Choplin's Etude in C minor, Op. 10, No. 12, because I could understand and figure out his piece of music. This piece is located in, The Structure of Music. When I listened to this piece it seemed like there was a time of struggling and anger, and a sort of hurrying to work towards success. I compare the Great Depression for this song because back in the day they used this as a background music for silent films. It is compatiable with the Great Depression because during that time the people of the U.S. decided to work hard and not accept defeat during that hardship of that era.…

I've encounter several situations and experienced care to elderly patients. I believe that the education about "PACE and/or "ACE' may have helped many patients and is able to help improve the care to elderly patients. It's been found in a study that older patients cared by nurses trained in geriatrics and in complex caregiving are less likely to be physically restrained and have less readmissions to hospitals and are less likely to be transferred inappropriately from nursing facilities to hospitals. The PACE and Ace program has improved health and reduced costs to elderly patients which is very beneficial for many elderly patients. Every time a patient is being sent to a hospital it costs the patient a big amount of money, and many of these…

I think it was due to the fact that I have been used to watching concerts and different excerpts online during which I know what to look for. “Adagio for Tubas” and “Prelude in C-Sharp Minor” were my favorite pieces of the concert. “Adagio for Tubas” has a slow tempo, however it utilized cadences to create contrast as different brass instruments would add to the melody after each cadence. “Prelude in c-Sharp Minor” is fortissimo and dramatic. The piece creates dissonance in its harmony, which I thought created an interesting…

I am really not a big fan of rock music but this song really had a huge impact on me that made me fall in love with it. The pace and tempo of the song is slow and steady and I like songs that are like that because I can really connect to them and it helps me understand them more better than a very fast and not steady song. This song should relate to a lot of people who go through the problems that faced in this song. It can help them better relate what they are going through in life. High and Dry is a really great song by Radiohead and it helps me relate to it in many ways that have been through in my…

For my musical choice I picked Rodeo: Hoe Down. I think the mood in this music is happy there is a lot of upbeat rhythms and tones. The speed is very fast and quick it never stops its instruments and makes me want to dance. The dynamics are loud and will wake you up when you are taking a little cat nap. This piece had no voices but a lot of instruments. There is a piano on wooden blocks, trumpet, xylophone, and the violan. I think this piece is trying to convey happiness, laughter, and dance. It makes me want to get up and dance all…

My group for the music time capsule was Ashley Armitage, Dylan Bates, and Jordan Crutchfield. These 10 songs were chosen because we felt that they will be relevant in the near and distant future. Honestly, the way my group chose our songs was by each of us picking three songs from our individual lists and mutually discussing the tenth song. The first song is Ring of Fire by Johnny Cash. Ashley Armitage chose this song, and with very good reason.…

Although it may seem odd to some, to this day one of the most emotionally stirring yet calming pieces I have ever heard is the acoustic guitar solo during the song “Is There Anybody Out There” by Pink Floyd. If you have never heard it, or even if you do not care for Floyd, I would still suggest you take an opportunity to hear it. The melody is very strong yet simple. All of the elements of melody, harmony, and texture are present which is to say perhaps the reason I enjoy such a simple piece so much is because it is so simple and yet complicated at the same time, much like me. The key it is played in is most likely not nearly as important, although if it were played in another key, I am sure I would quickly notice. The section I am referring starts at 1:24 into the song (The Wall CD) and continues to 2:40, the strength of the melody almost forces all of the accompaniment to the background so much so it is not really heard as much as it is felt.…

The first piece I have picked out was “Oh, Had I Jubal’s Lyre” performed by Women’s Glee Club. I have heard a loud and sharp sounding piece. It started off with the soprano singing with a high pitch voice; then the alto with strong, gradually loud voice. The instruments were presented in this piece was piano and treble voices. The tempo throughout this piece are moderato and allegro. In other words, the tempo was repeating from moderate to fast. The song made me feels a little chilling, but also exciting because the dynamics were crescendo to forte, pianissimo combined with the fortepiano make it sound really sharp in an exciting way. I enjoyed this piece because it makes me feel happy as I listened along.…

Speaking from my experiences, I can tell you that I appreciate many genres of music. For example, I adore rock music; rock is my favorite music because of its complex rhythm, chromatic elements, and tonal nuances. Since most of country music has evolved into a rock music hybrid, I also take pleasure in listening to it. The blues are intoxicating to me as I let go of any problems that I may have. I find listening to the tonic triad of jazz to be soothing; no other music can mimic jazz’s harmonic implications. Classical music is more emotionally oriented than sound oriented for me, I experience joy, excitement, passion, vigor, etc., when I listen to different classical pieces. When I want to listen mindlessly to music, I select pop music,…
