Should Driving Be Raised To 18
The people that get into most car crashes are teens. Fifteen to eighteen year-olds die because of drunk driving. Should the driving age be raised to eighteen? Well in my opinion, no. That wont help them grow there learning ability about driving. Even though there are mostly teen car accidents in a year.

Do teens need graduated licenses? Well in my opinion yes and no. I said yes because there are a lot of teen car crashes and think they need a graduating license because they will need to earn it. I also said no because they don't really get that much freedom. They are only allowed to to drive during daylight hours.

I think getting a graduating licenses will help teens not get into car accidents. As i said before that means they are only allowed to to drive during daylight hours. Usually teens get in car accidents during night time. Thats when they get drunk and start taking drugs which means car accidents for them if they drive.

Its because for sixteen year-olds it will get easier for them when they get older. I say that because they get more knowledge on the road what good and whats bad. If they change the age for driving it will be hard they wont know what to do and maybe they need to go somewhere but you don't have a ride.

Cars are needed for teens because its important for them through their lifetime. Mostly for important reasons like something for school. Thats why i picked getting a graduating license than raising the driving age. Teens need the ability to drive. I wouldn’t be happy if they raised the age to drive. What would you feel if they raised the driving

On this personal issue i do not agree with changing the minimum driving age. Many teens look forward to getting to drive. It wouldn't be the right thing to do. No i don't think the minimum driving age should be changed. If are legislature changed the minimum driving age we would have to have a lot more transportation for schools. Students wouldn't be aloud to drive to school. If are legislature changed the driving age they would be taking away the only freedom they have. It would also be hard for parents to get there kids from after school activity's. Some parents need there kids to be able to run places for them lick picking up siblings. They also may need them to go to the store to pick things up for them. They…

I think teenage driving should not be raised and remained the same. Driving can be complicated for people that haven’t experienced it at all, especially, the ones that are nervous and seen the downsides of driving on drivers education. Getting the teens to drive vehicles can overcome their fear and help them learn more outside. Not only that, but it also have them get used to land vehicles they are already familiar with the roads, the signs, etc. Early driving comes with three good benefits such as: actual driving experience, increases responsibility, and stabilizes memory and awareness.…

First teens should not drive because at sixteen they are still irresponsible. They are still immature and not fully developed in their brains. They also aren't use to the big responsibly of taking care and pay for a car. They don't realize that you have to pay for gas, insurance and extras for a car. They will take advantage of the fact that they can drive. Teens may not accept the fact that this is driving and you can injour you and others around you. Driving is one pretty big step at sixteen from nothing to be responsible for to having to take care and pay for a car. Teens also may not take driving as serious as compared to grown adults would. When you get older you have more responsibility, like owning a house, having a sturdy job, and taking care of others. If they take their drivers test later on they may be more serious because they really do need to drive, not just wanting to. The more the person needs or wants something the more they will try their best to succeed.…

Teenage accident rates and mortality rates have increased dramatically over the years. Nothing that the parents do and law enforces will protect the teens all the time, especially from themselves. Teenagers do not realize the responsibility that comes with driving. They are often distracted with other things such as texting while driving. Most importantly, parents always worry about the safety of their kids on the road. Some people may say that the driving age should stay at the age of 16; however, raising the driving age to 18 will create safer and more responsible drivers. Firstly, teenagers are very careless. In addition, increasing the minimum driving age will allow teenagers more time to get comfortable with driving. Finally, the number of fatal accidents will be reduced. Therefore, the minimum driving age should be raised from 16 to 18.…

Another major reason I think that the driving age should be raised to 18 is because young drivers are not experienced. There are many factors that young teens are not aware of while driving, and don’t pay attention to all their surroundings on the very dangerous road ways. One inexperience would be that young drivers may follow to…

Because of safety concerns, many states have increased the age at which teens can begin to drive. Some teenagers at the age of 16 are responsible. Some 16 year olds are irresponsible. Also, all 18 year olds are not responsible and able to drive the correct way. The state legislature should not raise the minimum age from 16 to 18 because some 16 year olds have a job and need transportation, a few may not like to depend on individuals to drive them back and forth, and many teenagers like to do their own things and not always with their parents.…

Others would argue against this and say that they should raise the driving age because teens are not experienced enough when they first start driving and think that all teens are not responsible enough to own a car and drive it.In the Traffic Safety Facts, it states that “In 2008 5,864 15 to 20-year-old drivers were involved in fatal crashes”.Many people want the driving age raised because of all these fatal crashes and there is a lot of statistics and facts that a lot of teens are getting into fatal crashes so many people don't feel safe driving around with teens because they feel like they might get involved in one of these fatal crashes with a teen. Also, parents feel like their kid's lives are in danger every day because they don't know what would happen on the road with many teens that are not experienced at driving. On the other hand, if these driving programs are issued in every state the roads will be safer. In the article Teenage Driving Laws May Just Delay Deadly Crashes, Dr.Matsen states “New Jerseys tough laws may have just shifted the effect to 21-year-olds,similar to the way tough restrictions on 16 and 17-year-olds were followed in a spike in deadly crashes among 18 years old in other states”.Parents and people don't need to worry about teens getting in fatal crashes on the road if the driving programs are issued around the country then everyone will be safe, and with the driving programs issues around the country they don't need to raise the driving age because…

    Raising the Driving Age

For at least the last ten years, the issue of whether or not to raise the driving age to 18 years old has been a touchy subject on every level of the spectrum; from State Highway Safety Association to teenagers and everybody in between. Although everyone has some degree of approval that raising the driving age would be a good idea no one has really put forth the effort to actually have it come to pass. This has lead to the ongoing debate of whether it should even be a consideration anymore. There are several reasons that establishing the driving age at 18 is a legitimate idea. First, by having the driving age moved to the minimum of 18 this can be both environmentally and economically commendable. Also, teenagers under the age of 18 are more mentally underdeveloped when it comes to making sound decisions on the road, which then leads teenagers to having one of the highest fatality rates involving automobiles.…
