August 5, 2013 "We are at war, and we will do what we need to win" (joey-gruber.tripod). There is much debate over whether animal testing should be allowed or not. Some people think that it is not essential to sacrifice animals for human benefit because they are being abused and tortured severely during experiments. Those People who stand against animal testing claim that humans eliminate many lives on Earth in order to safe humans ' lives, So there is no justice because even animals have the right to live on earth, yet these people do not consider the truth that animals are being used in the food industry. Many organizations such as (PETA), which is the biggest organization against animal testing, think

In addition, these people say that through animal testing humans destroy the lives of many organisms. However, researchers use only pests in their experiments to test on. Animal testing gives humans more benefit by decreasing the pests to humans. "60% of all animals are mice and 20% are rats and guinea pigs and rabbits are 10% all together"(PETA). This claim comes from an organization which is surprisingly stands against animal testing. The statistic above shows that animal testing does not damage animals on our planet. Many diseases are being transmitted to humans by these pests like rats. "One of the most historically dangerous rat-borne diseases is the bubonic plague, also called “Black Plague,” and its variants…….. fleas transported on rats are considered responsible for this plague during the Middle Ages, which killed millions"(Orkin). It is really obvious that many people know what happened during the Middle Ages when "Black Plague" spread over London. It was one of the historical diseases that killed thousands of people, so we can avoid such these devastating diseases by reducing rats ' numbers simultaneously with getting benefit to our

Do you want to see animals abused and killed sometimes for nothing? Animal testing is flawed and can produce very unreliable results. Around 26 million animals are used every year for scientific and commercial testing. These animals are used to determine the toxicity and effectiveness of medications before they test it on humans. Therefore animal testing should be banned.…

Overall, animal testing is erroneous because it does not contribute anything meaningfully to the world. When animals are tested often the results are irrelevant, due to the fact, animals have many differences from humans. Also, the animals endure poor conditions. Lastly, the animals’ lives are wasted by being tested on products that are not important. Testing animals is abusive and needs to…

Though animal testing should be banned from ever being practiced or used again, people still view it as a necessity despite all of the evidence against it. Animal testing requires inhumane, unsanitary, unsafe, or cruel conditions that if done to humans would be outlawed since they either reduce the quality of life or cause disease or death. Seeing that animals are living, breathing creatures that want to survive just as much as people do, assuming that test conditions are not good for human kind, then they are not good for any living creatures. Furthermore, they are inherently wrong by nature. Tolerating animal cruelty promotes the same insensitivity that allows cruelty to people, such as serial killers and the early incidents of animal torture.…

Another reason why we shouldn’t have animal testing is drugs that pass animal tests are not necessarily safe on humans. The main idea of the essay is animal testing should be banned.…

The article Animal Testing is Bad states, “Animals are being with feelings, thoughts, and families”(Elena1). They have a right to live peacefully and are not just subjects that should be tested on. Even though animals are a bit different from human, people cant kill them for their own sake. Scientists kill millions of animals in order to test if a product is safe for humans. It is not right and it is also not even accurate.…

Animal testing has always been a big issue around the world. Some people think that it is okay for animals to be tested on while others don’t. What even is animal testing? Animal testing is where scientists find new medications and test them on the animals before humans. Why might scientists test them on animals first? So, that if something goes wrong, only the animal would suffer and not a human. I am a critic for animal testing. I believe that animals have a purpose to the world just as much as humans do. Even if people don’t like rodents, that doesn’t mean we need to try and potentially kill them. Animals are very important to this world just like everyone else.…

Others believe that animal testing has “contributed to many lifesaving cures and treatments.” According to (Animal Testing) “The California Biomedical Research Association states that nearly every medical breakthrough in the last 100 years has resulted directly from research using animals.” Some people are highley for animal testing for this reason. One believes that animals are the reason why we are still here today, just based on the fact that we could run experiments and learn new things. One also believes that there is no other way to test on a whole-body system besides humans. Some even say that animal testing is beneficial to the animals, thus saying that humans can help the animals when they experiment and test on…

Animal testing has been around for centuries, when it really should be one of those “cruel memories” of things we have done in the past, but will not let in happen again in the future. Rats, Mice, Rabbits, and a whole slew of other animals are forced to endure massive quantities of testing substances or endure pain by having harmful chemicals applied to their bodies, even though the testing may…

Animals should NOT be used for testing in labs. There are many reasons why this dilemma should stop. They have different bodies than humans so the tests may react different on them than on humans and that could lead to danger to people. I think if scientists have to lab test on something living then they should pick something overpopulated, but that still is not okay, therefore something needs to be figured out. Or instead of using helpless animals, they should use all natural products and take human volunteers willing to get tested on. Why risk poor helpless little animal’s lives? Why torture them? It is proven that animals are not the best test subjects to use.…

Animal testing is a very controversial practice, involving the testing of new substances on animals to see how safe they will be for human use. (Vasen, 2011) Research has uncovered many cures for deathly diseases through animal testing. For over 2000 years cures for diseases such as Herpes, Hepatitis B, Rabies, Malaria, Polio and other such viruses have been created, through the use of testing the chemicals on animals such as mice, rabbits, cats, dogs or monkeys. (Shandilya, 2011) Animal Testing holds much criticism, and gets much scrutiny from anti Animal-Testing groups such as PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) and CAAT (Coalition to Abolish Animal Testing). The controversy behind animal testing is that there are so many petitions against animal testing and some people go as far as to not consume products like toothpaste or…

Animal testing has been the basis of all medicine and disease breakthroughs for over 50 years. Some people believe animal testing is a necessary and useful way to test and discover new products, but I believe it is not. Animal experimentation, animal research and animal practice all generally mean the same thing. One may be more familiar with the term animal testing. Animal testing has been a controversial topic between supporters and the adversary for quite some time, but animal testing is wrong, even if it helps find cures for illnesses. Between all the strong public opinions, hefty fines and likelihood of the tested drugs working on humans, it is best if animal testing comes to an end. Animal testing came to scientists back in 500 BC by Greeks. It has always been such a controversial topic, because of the harm that comes to the animals. Proponents to animal testing say that animal research is beneficial. They say that numerous life-saving treatments…

In our society today, there have been many disputes over many things such as politics, race, gender, and money that have split the world in half. Animal testing is one of these many disputes, that may not have an end. Animal experimentation, or animal testing if you will, is when animals of different species are being tested on, varying from space research to agricultural testing. People in our world may disagree on the purpose of animal testing on the grounds of how cruel, and unruly it is to do to poor innocent animals. On the other hand, some people say that animal testing may have possibly been one of the greatest ideas ever developed, creating many kinds of medicines and vaccines that saved many lives at one time or another. Animal experimentation…

Those who are in favor of animal testing justify it many different ways. Thomas Hamm, a toxicologist and veterinarian, argues that, “We can’t protect the environment, or people in general, without doing some animal testing. If you’re pro-environment but opposed to animal testing, you’re on shaky ground, because the two positions just aren’t compatible with each other” (Fano, 44). In order to have a safe and successful society, he argues, we must use animals to test chemicals, drugs, treatments, and anything else that will further our knowledge of improving the world, at least for humans. Many people are of the same mind as Hamm. Animal testing reduces the risks of many products, like cosmetics and medication, among many others. Scientists can put safety standards in place for products based on their findings via animal testing. Often, animals will react badly or even die from certain chemicals or combinations, make the humans that use the products…
