Education and Life
To my fellow students, respected school administrators, beloved parents and teachers. A heartwarming day to all you.
It is a great honor for this opportunity to speak on behalf of the graduating class batch 2013-2014.
Fellow classmates, today is an important day in our lives as we are about to close the door on one chapter of our lives and prepare to take the next. Graduation is a new start with new opportunities. Now as we leave this campus and move onto the next chapters of lives we will carry with us not only the things we learned from the books, but also the lessons life has taught us.
It is as if it was only yesterday since we first stepped in the High School of Tres Niños, four years ago. We were nervous, thinking what is it feels like to be a high school students. It has been four years since we struggle for hard years of learning, searching for our dreams, altogether, the allotted precious times of joy and sadness with friends and classmates.
But also know that amidst our struggles, there were people watching our back; people who taught us the way of life and God; people whom we owe thanks and love. We did not fight this alone. We had comrades. We had mentors. We had God. Most of all we had parents. We have them as long as we live.
With this opportunity we would like to thank our teachers for being our second parents, all of you have been a mentor of life, we will always be thankful for all the hard work and effort you have put in, for educating us. We found guidance, discipline and love, not just by being a teacher but also as a friend, mentor and guide. Every one of you gave us inspiring words which made a difference in our lives. Without you we would’ve been lost. Thank you for guiding and molding us. Thank you for creating an environment of enthusiasm for learning. Thank you for your constant support and encouragement. Every one of you deserves big thanks for everything and all of you are the best!
To our parents, first of all we want to thank you for giving us life. We just wanted to tell how much you mean to us as you have guided and loved us through our lives. You are our first teacher, the first one who taught us how to read and write. Thank you for guiding us to distinguish what is wrong and what is right. Thank you for allowing us to dream and soar. Thank you because you both sacrifice many things in your life so that we wouldn’t sacrifice anything. Thank you because you never failed to supports us in all endeavors. For our dads, we are thankful for telling us what we are capable of, for giving us support that we needed to build our dreams and to chase after them. Thank you for spending countless hours after you got home from work each night. For our moms, thank you for making us realize that we are worth everything in this world. Thank you for giving us a shoulder to cry on when we are down. Thank you because both of you showed us how hard work and what true battle looks like. Thank you for showing us true love in its rarest form, what it feels like and how it can extend beyond life’s obstacles and challenge. We are lucky to have parents like you who love us to bits. Even though they might say you are imperfect you are perfect to us. We love you and we are very thankful that you are our parents. Our success is your success.
Thank you Almighty God, for placing us in a loving home with such great parents. They are our inspiration in life, we have learned so much from them. Thank you for giving us our first hero and our role model. Thank you for giving us great mentors/teachers who guided us in the right path of education and right track of life. With them we are sure that life would be a successful journey. Thank you God because of you we have the most important people in our lives, without you we cannot experience love and we cannot become a better individual. Keep us all close to you and listen to our prayers. Thank you God for all the blessings.

I’ve grown up with all of you. We’ve laughed and cried together. Though, as I leave, as we all leave, I think about how we’re not going to be all in this together anymore. As the end of our time together grows closer, I want to look towards the future. Yes we’re graduating, but just as Carol Burnett says, ‘We don’t stop going to school when we graduate’. We may be leaving, but we’ll never stop learning. Each new day will be a new adventure. We’ll make new friends and gain new experiences. Yes, I know this all sounds incredibly cliché, but that’s the point isn’t it? School if anything, was a love / hate relationship. We had our ups and downs, and just like school, life is going to be the same. So I encourage you to look back on your own schooling lives; take your mistakes and learn from them.…

Each one of you here today is responsible for your own choices, which will lead you towards a future. Now I know that sounds a little scary, but it isn’t in all honesty. Our future is based on our life decisions and all of us should keep that in mind. But as we move forward try not to forget what you have learned, attained and overall experienced in high school. Don’t lose the relationships and bonds you have formed with others over the past 4 years. Lastly, as we move on keep this in mind, “Success is no accident. Good evening distinguished guests, mothers, sisters, grandmothers, friends, teachers, our beloved admin, and, of course, last but not least the beautiful, amazing, guests of honor also known as the senior graduates of 2016. Welcome to the graduation ceremony for the graduating class of 2016. I am proud to be representing the voices of my fellow seniors on this final day of our high school career. And I am sure the lot of us would truly agree that it has been quite a career. To say that it was easy would most definitely be an exaggeration, well more like a lie actually. To say it was hard, now that would most definitely be an honest truth, because high school can be quite a handful: its…

We all know that Teachers’ day is intended to be a special day for the appreciation of our teachers. And also, Teachers' Day represents a significant token of the awareness and understanding displayed for the vital contribution that teachers make to education and development. As I meet teachers along the way, I couldn’t help but to smile and greet them a Happy Teachers’ Day not just because it’s their special day, but it’s because of all the things and especially the thoughts they have contributed in our lives as a student. A teacher is a person who helps in shaping our life from our childhood days, a person who wipes our tears and makes us smile, teaches us, scolds us, plays with us and even helps us overcome our fears. These are people specially made by God to look after his small wonders. They we’re the second mentor of our lives, they helped our parents teach us the alphabets, to count from 1-10, and learn to say those basic words such dog, cat, apple and many more. Today, we are all gathered here again to give salute to our heroes which we owe so much. In this way, though it’s not all materialistic, I wish this could somehow pay back all their efforts, hard works, and of course patience they contributed to us. To our heroes, remember that words and actions are not really enough to thank and show you how we really treasure and loved you as our second parents. I’m hoping that in today’s celebration, you could somehow realize that you are really important and precious to us students because we will never be where we are now without your guidance and support. I hope you will really enjoy and will be…
