RC II-1 Science/Sensory: I would focus my sensory table on toddlers. The intended goals of a sensory table are to help the children learn a little more if are based on hands-on learning. Our theme is Food and Flavors this month, so our sensory table will be filled with food related items. This week our sensory table has some Indian corn, fake oranges, apples, and bananas. This is to teach our toddler class about fruits and vegetables. This is developmentally age appropriate because toddlers are starting to connect words with real things. This activity is to help our class connect the toys with real food.

We want children to start developing a sense of self. I would place a mirror in the room, low enough for the children to be able to see it if I was helping them sit up on the floor or if they were on a boppy pillow. Infants love to start seeing themselves as their own person. They are sensory oriented; they love to stare at things, so allowing them to look into a mirror is a great development activity for them.
RC II-7 Emotional Skills/Regulation: This activity is for my mobile infants. They are starting to be able to self-regulate their emotions, so the activity would be to read a book about crying and how to calm yourself when you’re upset. The story is developmentally appropriate because they are starting to understand how to calm themselves already. They start to seek their comfort item/activity, an example is little Liam reaches for his pacifier when he gets upset or Nora wants her blanket when she’s tired and upset.
RC II-8 Social Skills: I would focus this activity on my mobile infants. My activity would be to build a tower with blocks and have each of the children help, add blocks to the tower. This way they are working together to reach the final goal, a tower. They are starting to socialize with each other and play with each other rather than alongside each other, which is why it is developmentally appropriate for them to participate in this

    There are number of methods used to teach children and depends on settings which method they choose ,but also all settings needs to follow the Early Years Foundation Stage framework which has four themes that link to the five outcomes of Every Child Matters.     Babies and toddlers show amazing progress in all aspects of their development from birth to three years, considering they are born with simple reflexes and are quite helpless and dependent. It is essential to have a good understanding of the development stages in this group in order to support their development.
